Not so many layers to day.
Loads up the shopping trolley into the car.
Going to have a full day of rain!
Drops son off at work.
Then on our road trip to Droitwich...
First stop was to visit the Droitwich Lions Event.
Lots of lovely things!
I bought a Les Dawson and Elizabeth Taylor.
It's on again in 3 weeks.
We said goodbye to them, and moved the car to the other car park.
Now onto look round some Charity Shops.
The first one had a big map of the world.
There is no room on my son's walls for it,
Plus it wouldn't fit in the car for a start!
I found a book for my Father-in-law for next Christmas.
I got Birthday card for my son's nan whose 80th Birthday is next weekend.
We visited three more, when I spotted a↓
Pity I got one already!
Then we looked in one more Charity shop before we went to put the shopping trolley in the car.
Before we went into Waitrose, we visited one more Charity Shop.
Got some books on soups and some good DVDS.
Now to get some blue milk from Waitrose!
Now for a drink and a nibble when we came out.
Still raining on the way to pick up son from his job.
Once we got home, it was time to unpack all our bargains we got.
The coffee machine went on,
&
Soup maker.
The 2000 piece world puzzle will keep son busy.
Now for much needed coffee.
The soup was lovely!
Sweet Potato, vegetables, tomatoes, herbs and added Chilli for added kick.
I finished it off what was left in the soup maker as it was so nice.
As hubby didn't go food shopping last night.
He went this afternoon with younger son who was doing our neighbour's food shopping.
I meanwhile had other things to do.
Washing machine went on as well as the Dish Washer.
Now to write yesterday's blog post.
Opened my post that came this morning.
The lighthouse is going into the bathroom.
The hunt for Chicken Mince was called off, as they couldn't find any.
Younger son was miffed off as so many wasn't wearing their face masks.
Unpacked the shopping.
Time for light tea.
Steak with Lentil Noodles.
Now to catch up with some telly programmes from this week.
First up was:
"Dragon's Den"
then The Apprentice.
Time to open a bottle of non-alcohol fizz.
Quick look into today's newspaper.
Peter  Sarstedt, briefly billed early in his career as Peter Lincoln, was an English singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. He was the brother of musicians Eden Kane and Clive Sarstedt.
Although his music was classified as pop, it generally encompassed ballads derived from traditional folk music rather than traditional rock and roll. He was best known for writing and performing the song "Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)?", which topped the UK Singles Chart in 1969. Set to a "faux European waltz tune" and described as "a romantic novel in song", it won an Ivor Novello Award. The record remained Sarstedt's biggest hit. He had 1 more hit single and 1 hit album but despite numerous releases never had chart success again.
He died on this day aged 75 in 2017.
The Ministry of Food introduced food rationing in the UK, to ensure there was enough food to go round during the Second World War. Britain was particularly vulnerable to a naval blockade as it imported 20 million tons of food per year on 8 January 1940.
TV series "All Creatures Great and Small" debuts on BBC TV, based on the books by James Herriot, starring Robert hardy and Christopher Timothy in 1978.
The first episode of Gimme Gimme Gimme broadcast on BBC2. It ran for 3 series and starred Kathy Burke and James Dreyfus in 1999.

Sleep tea time.
We watched caught up with the news.
The deaths were 313 today :(
We have reached the grim total of 150,057 deaths :(
Off to get under that warm duvet cover before the heating goes off!
