There are two things in life I like hard and one of them is eggs - Mae West
Welcome to my Friday Feeling 🎈
Now to load the cakes into Sexy Beast.
&
Big big sunglasses.
The sun shining and it being Friday Feeling.
Double Bubble!
I told one of the parents about the Macmillian Coffee morning in the village hall this morning.
He was going to his Father-in-law's funeral this morning.
There were a few cars failing to stop on the otherside of the road.
I finished in one piece.
I took off my coat, hat and stick and left it in Sexy Beast.
Now to set up my cakes.
Someone made 8 bakes to sell off.
My younger son had caught the bus to join me.
One friend also joined us.
We walked back up to the High Street to the Village Hall.
All the cakes were ready to be judged by the WI.
We all have a drink and piece of cake waiting for the results.
I chatted to some many people, some I hadn't seen for years. We all talked about our lovely friend, Jill that passed away.
Then the results were in.
I wasn't mentioned at Third place, or Second Place.....
"Pigs in Mud" and my name was read out.
I was in shock!
Photo time!
The cakes were being auctioned off and not going for much. So the decision was made to have my cakes back. I was going to cut up the winning cake and give the slices away to friends.
I put the cakes back in Sexy Beast.
We popped into Morrisons to get the newspaper.
I cut the Piggie cake up.
Now to deliver some...
I gave out some warm hugs when he got upset.
I gave him some cake, and I said to him:
"This isn't just any cake, this is winning chocolate cake!"
I told him I will come around again soon :)
Drove to work.
Turned on both lights.
Then we all had a rabbit in the square.
I wished all my friends a good weekend.
Now to start my afternoon shift.
I told all the parents I won the Bake Off competition. I won't be crossing one parent over in 2 weeks time as she is moving over to the otherside of the village :(
I still have last minute brakers.
Loads of traffic to deal with.
Finished in one piece.
Back home I go.
My friend had given my two boxes of things to sort through. I kept the candles. The red velvet curtains are gong to uni with the younger son next year.
Framed my certificate
Tea is served.
We watched a good film I bought on Blue-ray
Brilliant film!
We caught up on the news...
