Still Trying To Shake It Off!

“The question is not how to get cured, but how to live.”
Joseph Conrad

I am hoping to get over this flu soon.
A nice cup of tea might help it leave...↓
I'm so warm in bed....🛏
Once I got up, wearing loads of layers..
The sun's rays were coming through my living window..
 Blue skies....↓
 First coffee of the morning↓
I wrapped myself in a blanket....
Now to watch some television...
 followed by
Chicken soup time↓
My feeling of no energy is carrying on.Trying to get warm as possible.
Once the kids came home, they played on the Wii.
I went for a lie down on the bed.
After half an hour I came down for some light evening meal.
I caught up on the Birthdays.
James Earl Jones: American actor (Darth Vader, Exorcist II, Soul Man)is 88 years old.
Chris Montez [Ezekiel Montanez], American guitarist and singer,is 76 years old.
"I Write the Songs" by Barry Manilow hits #1 in the US charts in 1976.
Once the kids went to bed,
(Plus hubby went to bed early)
I watched a brilliant film for the first time.
 Such a moving film :'(
Off to a warm bed at 12.30am....

Half The World Away...

Last night:
We watched the second episode of Louis Therous's Altered States.
It's called:
"Should We Have The Right To End Our Own Lives?"
Hubby and me were so upset at the end of the programme :'(
Back to the Wobbly Work Wheel of Monday.
Making the most of having hubby at home today ;)
 Breakfast in bed ↑
Kissed our kids goodbye 💋💋
Tidied up the house,
as I have Job 1 to go to.
I had a quick scan of birthdays before I left:
Jodie Foster: American actress (The Accused, The Silence of the Lambs), born in Los Angeles, California is 56 years old.
 Douglas Henshall:Scottish actor ( Primeval,This Year's Love) is 53 years old.
1975 "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" based on book by Ken Kesey, directed by Milos Forman and starring Jack Nicholson and Louise Fletcher is released (Academy Awards Best Picture 1976)
Now off to work....

It did try and rain on the way. The wind chill made it feel so cold....
On the way back home it still tried to rain...
 Black clouds arriving...↑

 Blue skies over the house↑
Now to enjoy some coffee...↓

 Enjoying coffee with whippy cream!
Nice bed spread with glittery cushions...↑
Enjoyed another coffee with a mince pie when we got home..↓
My oldest son did some nice cooking at school today...↓
Chocolate Log↑↑
After doing 2 more jobs, it was nice to kick off my shoes and try to relax by catching up with some newspapers while listening to some Rock and Roll hits...
Looking around the house,
I might be playing with Henry tomorrow....
