Drama & Crisis Rolled Into Cake!

Today was the day I was going to make that cake.....

I got out of the house to get some milk from Lidl...

 

 

 I asked in Lidl if they sold the Wonky box.

They didn't :(

 Dunelm selling nice stuff...↑↑

Now to start on the cake finally...

Wrote out the recipe..

 Things didn't start brilliantly when I discovered we had no coco powder!

Into Sexy Beast to get some...

 

 

 I decide to use Kane the Kenwood this time.

It didn't help, that as soon I turned him on.

He went way too fast, and I lost most of the mixture through the gaping hole of the lid...

 I added some more mixture, and poured it into the cake tins..

Into the oven it went...

Time for much needed Coffee....

 Once the chocolate sponges were cooled down, I knew I was going to have problems...

I made the peppermint chocolate mix to go in the middle of the cake. The top sponge was falling apart. I add the shiny chocolate for the top of the cake....

Oh dear, this isn't going to end right....

I made a chocolate collar and put it in the fridge to set...

In the meantime...

It's tea time...

 Chop Chop Time.

The sun is shining once more :)

 Put the washing machine on.

Had a nice mocha..

 

As I was playing with Kenny,

I needed a good cupcake recipe...

Kenny stopping whimpering...

Time to play!

Once the cupcakes were in the oven.

The washing went on the line.

Busy morning for telephone calls

&

visitors.

(The new gate was being used!)

 Decorated the cupcakes....

 Fudge & Coffee Cupcakes.

Now to try one...

 yummy :)

Off to water some plants in the sunshine..

 My wisteria is flowering :)

 Blue skies...

 My flowers are loving the sunshine...

Meat free stir fry. 

Having coffee and chat tomorrow...

Better put the mouth battery on charge...

 

 

Using My Warm Hands Where Needed!

After using my warm hands on my hubby during the early hours,

He still had to go to work, no lie in for me as the drilling started at 7.50am from the factory next door!!

 Quick visit to Asda in Larry to get some baking supplies.

Then the kids did some baking.

My warm hands wasn't needed :(

 Only my advice!

Even Kenny wasn't needed :(

Jack got upset as he couldn't get his icing right.

I told him,"I'm useless at making icing, I try to avoid it!"

There where ready made frosting comes in!
