Showing A Bit Of Leg!

If you haven't got anything good to say about anyone come sit by me - Alice Roosevelt Longworth
Welcome to my Thursday 😎
Brew and hug to start the day!
Breakfast.
Dressed.
I got kids up ready for school.
Then gave out some sloppy wet 💋💋💋
The sun is back at last!
Those big big sunglasses have to be worn now :)
Nice start to the morning shift, of seeing the sun.
Summer coat goes on.
Tree shot.
Now for the fun to start.
It was getting quite busy.
Didn't help my car drivers not stopping the other side of the road.
On parent shouted at a car and it stopped for her!
Everyone was wishing me a good week's holiday for next week!
The lambo came down the road shortly before I finished.
I finished in one piece.
On the way home, I let a tractor turn left in front of me.
Then the tractor stalled causing a bit of tailback.
Once it got going I was behind it for a bit, two cars behind me couldn't wait and overtook us on a blind bend!
I made sure nothing was coming the otherway when I overtook the tractor.
Gets to put some fuel in Sexy Beast.
I let a small flat back truck go first to fill up, then I couldn't go past it to get to the pump.
Once it had moved up, then I could get past it.
So much for good deeds!
I gets the newspaper on the way home.
I empty all the bins in the house.
While having coffee, writing yesterday's blog post, I was phoning up the tax office again.
The employer should repay the tax took from last month's pay not the tax office. I am not earning enough to pay tax, so why I have been took £14 this month????
If the employer won't cough it up, the tax office said I would have to wait for the end of the tax year to have it back!
Get's blog posts wrote.
Now for a easy lunch
I had some good news.
As the first schools I cover for my lollipop job are closed tomorrow, I am not needed!
So for the last time this week, it's time to do the lollipop job.
I just found somewhere to park near my lollipop job.
I nipped into the Charity Shop and got some Royal Worcester-Evesham casserole dishes with lids
(My late mum gave me her Royal Worcester-Evesham collection)
&
My early Christmas present from my hubby.
The sun was shining, but those clouds were coming over!
My leggings had shrunk in the wash.
So I was showing off a bit of leg before I started!
One Ferrari Sports car came down the road at speed, until I stuck out my lollipop stick and it stopped.
Some car drivers didn't like having to wait longer than normal for me to cross people over.
I could hear the gums going...
Finished in one piece.
Walked back to Sexy Beast with my friend.
I said "See you next month!"
Off I went home.
Took out all my lollipop stuff.
Sexy Beast is now a lot lighter!
I had a much needed coffee...
Then it's back out for a 60s singalong.
There was a lot of traffic around on the way to work.
I gets in.
Loads up the skip with everything I need.
I was asked "Am I was leaving?"
I replied,"I will find out next month, but as no one is answering my emails when I have a question for the bosses, I will have to wait for the P45!"
It looks like I can't win, I either put too much toilet cleaner in or not enough!
Finished on time.
Back to singing along on the way home!
Back home.
Nice big hug off hubby.
Tea time.
Quick look into today's newspaper.

Living The High Life!

There are three things I've to do: opera, rodeo, and porno
- Bea Arthur
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Nice warm hug and 💋 to start the Friday.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
Hubby has a day off work...
But he won't be living the high life with me,
He is cleaning his dad's kitchen, bathroom and living room.
He goes and gets the newspaper....
I put on the kettle...
First coffee of the day.
Then hubby goes off to collect some cleaning things from Dunelm then onto his dad's house.
I meanwhile got down to write yesterday's blog post.
My younger son's new matress arrived for his bed↓↓
They drag the old mattress outside in the back garden.
I will have to pay the Council £18 to take it away next week....
The sun might be out,
but it ain't half cold in this house!
I had to drop off son at his job.
(For doing all this running about, he was paying for the coffee!)
Out comes the big ones..
Gets 1 mocha, and 2 hot chocolates.
I drop off son and comes back home.
Only for the lid of my mocha to come off,
The mocha leaks into the bag,
I just get the bag out of the car before it pours out everywhere out of the car!
Just enough to drink...↓
Once I tied the pom poms I made yesterday to my pom pom wreath.
I got down to make some more.
I now have another job interview tomorrow \o/
Tea at 3.
I had to drop off younger son to help with delivering leaflets..
Big big sunglasses went on again..
It didn't help a BMW nearly took out my driver's side after trying to pull out of a side road.
Didn't I half give him a look for that!
Trying to find somewhere to park to drop my son off safely was another ball ache!
Waited, and waited for a parking space...
Finally got one!
Back home...
Hubby has spent 8 hours cleaning his dad's house.....
(It took me 6 hours to clean my dad's house when he was alive, and all I got off my dad was:
"You haven't hoovered the stairs!"
Which I replied to:"What did your last slave die of? Oh yes, she is six foot under!")
Hubby was getting takeaway Indian meals for us on the way home...
While I was waiting,
I looked in today's newspaper:
Sir Peter  Ustinov was an English actor, writer, and filmmaker. He was a fixture on television talk shows and lecture circuits for much of his career. An intellectual and diplomat, he held various academic posts and served as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and president of the World Federalist Movement.
Ustinov was the winner of numerous awards during his life, including two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor, Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTA Awards for acting, and a Grammy Award for best recording for children, as well as the recipient of governmental honours from, amongst others, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. He also displayed a unique cultural versatility which frequently earned him the accolade of a Renaissance man. Miklós Rózsa, composer of the music for Quo Vadis and of numerous concert works, dedicated his "String Quartet No. 1, Op. 22" (1950) to Ustinov
He would have been a 100 years old today🎈
He sadly died aged 82 in 2004

Bobby Vinton  is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. As a teen idol, he became known as 'The Polish Prince', as his music paid tribute to his Polish heritage. One of his most popular songs is "Blue Velvet" (a cover of the 1951 song recorded by Tony Bennett) which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1963 and No. 2 in the UK in 1990.
He is 86 years old.
Mary  O'Brien OBE, professionally known as Dusty Springfield, was a British singer and record producer whose career extended from the late 1950s to the 1990s. With her distinctive mezzo-soprano sound, she was a significant singer of blue-eyed soul, pop and dramatic ballads, with French chanson, country and jazz also in her repertoire. During her 1960s peak she ranked among the most successful British female performers on both sides of the Atlantic and her image – marked by a peroxide blonde bouffant/beehive hairstyle, heavy makeup (thick black eyeliner and eye shadow) and evening gowns, as well as stylised, gestural performances – made her an icon of the Swinging Sixties. She is a member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame. International polls have cited Springfield as one of the finest female popular singers of all time.
She would have been 82 years old 🎈
She sadly died aged 59 in 1999.

Gerald Rafferty  was a Scottish rock singer-songwriter. His solo hits in the late 1970s included "Baker Street", "Right Down the Line" and "Night Owl", as well as "Stuck in the Middle with You", which was recorded with the band Stealers Wheel in 1973.
He would have been 74 years old 🎈
