 Gets out of the house...

 Had a quick read of the newspaper...

And found this about Alastair "Sandy" Gunn pilot who took part in the prisoner of war breakout, immortalised in the film, The Great Escape.

 He was sadly executed by the Nazis.

Now  for the Birthdays.

 It's still not too warm↓

 It was so nice to have a hot coffee with two pieces of malt loft.

 We had a nice homemade beef stew for our evening meal.

Then it was time to catch up with some telly!!

Graham is joined by Nicole Kidman, Stephen Fry, Joe Lycett, and Geraint Thomas. With a musical performance from Take That.

Now to drag a tired hubby off to bed to enjoy the last of the Friday Feeling...🍾🍾🍾

 Chill with tea↓

 

 Coffee and toast time..

 

 No sun out today.

Fed the ducks around the lake.

 

 Met my friend for a chat.

It started to rain, so we all took shelter...

Went back to hers for coffee.

Strocked her doggies..

 

 

 Said goodbye.

Dropped the newspaper around at my dads.

 

 

 

 Just got home,

The thunder, rain and hail stones...

 

 

 

 The wind got up and was knocking over my plants...↓↓

 I gave up on the chocolate cake I made yesterday.

Out came the reliable Kenny the Kenwood.

 After using 8 eggs, I done the first butterless sponge.

 I had to nip to Asda to get more eggs, coconut and strawberries...

Made another sponge....

 Angel Cake

 The Chocolate cake is going with hubby to work on Monday, to raise money for Dementia Charity.

Now to put my warm hands to more good use.....
