A Very Long Way Home!

Always look out for number one and be careful not to step in number two - Rodney Dangerfield
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Up early to have our final brew in Blackpool.
Dressed.
Goes down for breakfast.
Once finished, we load up the car with our bags.
Said goodbye to our lovely hosts.
We leave 10am...
Time to get off for a break...
Great Private Eye Front Cover
Off we go.
As there was a train strike on, the motorways were rammed! The motorway we were on stalled at one point, so we had do Plan B.
We were still on the road at 4pm.
We had to get off again for another break...
Back on the road to try and get home before it gets dark!
We finally reach home at 6.30pm!!!!
All the windows get opened.
Bags get brought in!
So glad to be home!
Tea time!
It was too late to make the outfits for tomorrow's Family Fun Day.
I will have to get up early to make them.
Early night, and in our own bed!

Beach Time!

Meet me in the bedroom in five minutes and bring a cattle prod - Woody Allen.
Welcome to our Sunday in Blackpool 🗼
I woke up at 5.30am, couldn't sleep for the loud snoring from Sleeping Beauty.
I enjoyed a cup of brew.
Hubby wakes up when I put on the table lamp.
I make him a cup of tea.
 I write out the postcards.
I have a hot shower before breakfast.
Lovely breakfast.
Now out we go...
Tram time.
Back on the tram to ...
Looks in more Charity Shops.
Coffee time in Costa Coffee.
While we sat there, someone was preaching to a man about Jesus. Reading it outloud from his phone!
We bought a Parasol for the beach later.
Looked at the beach.
Into Home Bargains to look about.
Catches the tram back to the B&B.
Drops off bargains.
Collects things for the beach.
Waits for the tram.
Goes to Velvet Rollercoaster for lunch.
Now to hit the beach!
The parasol lasted only half an hour as it broke in the wind!
Didn't like the look of those dark clouds coming over.
The Go-Karts track isn't there no more.
While we waited at the tram stop.
A tram went past us on the other line down to Star Gate.
While we stood waiting, a six year was playing with her younger sister's pushchair, until it fell backwards. Both parents just sat there and let it happen!
One woman just looks at me is disbelief as one of the parents picked up the pushchair.
When we get on the tram, two kids aged between 6-7 were dangling off the hand straps and standing on the near-by seats. Their mum and grandma ignored them, until they heard my eyes roll. One tells them to get down and sit by them. One passenger then gets on, and puts his rucksack down on the seat next to himself.
I was glad to get off at the next stop.
We hit the corner shop for more supplies.
Tea time.
Back to the room to plan out tomorrow.
With rain mac.
I got a nice windmill for my parent's grave and nice towels with poms poms attached.
Quick look again in the newspaper.
