Just a quick update on how 2023 went for me.

The Best of 2023 

My older son became a Councillor and started at University.

I too, became a Councillor on two Parish Councils

The sequins made appearance....

My youngest son turned 18!

(Even better is I won't have to see my ex-plum any more \o/)

 We visited Blackpool twice \o/

We visited Bobby Ball's statue↓

We visited Les Dawson's grave↓

&

Keith Harris's grave↓

I came first in a Macmillan Bake Off in aid of my lovely friend who passed away in September.

The minion collection is growing...↓

Third Anniversary of cutting off both of my brothers \o/

The Worst of 2023

We stopped in two hotels and after staying there,we won't be going back again. :(

My lovely friend of 30 years passed away in September :'(

My hubby's brother cut contact with my hubby \o/

Their inheritance was paid out, no contact with hubby for two and half months until after Christmas. When hubby had got badly written message from his brother, asking where the £600 payment from a plan their dad took out for his  brother's kids was?

(Hubby didn't realise there was time limit!)

 Hubby's brother had wanted a huge games machine that hubby  got rid off while clearing out their dad's house.

(Hubby's brother couldn't fit it in his car when he came down on the Sunday after their dad had died, when he grabbed the new 2 week old microwave, and coffee maker from their dad's house)

I hope Hubby's brother enjoys his inheritance!

At least my Hubby is paying for a nice new Gravestone for his  late dad and the 5 family members in the family plot. It should be ready in April just in time for his late dad's Birthday.

We went to see Madness in concert before Christmas.

Oh dear, they only played two old hits in 40 minutes. They played their new album, which we couldn't stand. After 40 minutes we walked out of the concert. At least the DJ before Madness came out played some great tunes!

Now to see in the New Year...

I slept on top of the duvet...

It was so warm last night!

Breakfast and Brew...

Dressed.

Now out of the house I go...

I gave hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 before I left for work.

I put on my Summer hat and Summer coat
 &

Big big sunglasses.

I went to put on one set of lights.

The newsagents didn't have the newspapers again, they will be back on the 13th September instead.

Back to Sexy Beast to get my big stick.

Now to turn on my other lights.

Off to my spot I go...

The flower lorry parked further down the road.

Still making the traffic on myside back up.

The Clerk came over for a yak.

Finished in one piece.

Nipped into to see the Council enquired why the Mobile Breast Screening van hadn't come this year, as it normally is in the car park for two weeks. As I was asked about while I on duty.

Now down to the Co-op to get the newspaper and bits.

Back home.

Unpacked all my bits.

Put washing machine on.

Coffee time.

Wrote a blog post up to lunch.

It was too hot for liquid lunch.

I has a chat with hubby before I left.

Now to leave early...

Now to get on my Councillor badge on.

As Studley in Bloom is unveiling a bench in honour of the Coronation of King Charles III.

Now to do my other job.

On goes my Summer coat and hat.

I turn on my lights, and as I am sweating that much...

Time for a ice cream!

That's better.

Gets my big stick out of Sexy Beast and has a rabbit with my friends in the square in the shade.

I said goodbye to my friends and now to sweat while doing my shift!

Still had cars stopping in the Keep Clear space!

Finished in one piece.

Home time.

I jumped into a cold shower when I got back!

That's better!

Put the tea on.

Hubby came back and had a sloppy wet one 💋

We had a nice pasta meal for tea.

Now to catch up I,Claudius .

We are watching one episode a night.

I caught up with my newspaper afterwards.

We caught up with the News and newspaper review.

Sleep Tea time.

Fighting For That Councillor Tin Hat!

However older son became a Councillor for Church Hill.

Woo hoo :)

There is now two Councillors in the house.

Breakfast and Brew.

The thermal vest still goes on.

Final day at work!

Time to leave the house.

I gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 before I leave.

On goes the Summer hat and summer coat.

I walk down the road to turn on my lights.

Buys the newspaper.

Swaps the newspaper for my big stick.

Goes and turns on my other lights.

Let's go to work....🍭

It was a bit quiet for traffic.

(Not like yesterday!)

Last minute braking and BOINGs given out.

Finished in one piece.

Off home I go.

There were two Council vans over the drive.

I went round to my neighbour's house and two workmen were in there deciding on what room to start on.

I asked if they could just move the van up a bit so I could get my car on the drive.

They told me the kitchen has to be ripped out, and the shed has to go.

The van was moved down and I parked on the drive.

Now for coffee!

There was lots of drilling, and banging coming from next door.

(Wait to see if the bamboo is going to be chopped down)

Household chores done.

Liquid lunch time.

It was forecasted to rain at the time I start the afternoon shift.

It was too warm to wear those lumo trousers.

Those dark clouds look grim↓

Had to listen to a good song on repeat,

I puts on my Summer Coat and Summer hat on.

Goes and puts on both sets of lights.

I visited the Charity Shop for a rabbit..

The Corner shop was closed to get the Post Office fitted in it.

(Post Office opens on May 19th)

Goes back to Sexy Beast.

I takes the lining out of my winter coat.

I put that on, and my waterproof shoes as those dark clouds are coming over.

None of my friends, came for a rabbit.

I'm need of a Boost now! 

One school was let out early.

I goes over to my spot.

Soon as I started the rain came down....

It rained for ten minutes.

Stopped.

Still had cars stopping in the Keep Clear space!

Lots of BOINGs given out for cars not stopping.

Then it started to rain again!

Grrrrr

Finished in one piece.

I got talking to someone about how much fun I am going to have being an Councillor for over an hour!

Wishes them a good Bank Holiday Monday.

Back home I go.

I went to see what the Council had been doing to next door's house.

All the kitchen cabinets had been ripped out.

The three interior doors were outside.

The fireplace was ripped out.

There was a crab in a bag on the floor↓

And some Cinnamon sticks if anyone is interested?

Gets the tea on the go.
