In The Middle Of Nowhere!

It works better if you plug it in - Sattinger's Law
Welcome to my Thursday in Bidford 🚗
A lovely hug and brew.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
I gave hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before he went to work.
Now to round up the kids.....
Off to Bidford we go...
The sun was there to greet us...
Parked on the field.
One of my kids said what not to say.
"It looks like you are not going to buy nothing off here, mum!"
Unlucky...
I bought a Nutcracker soldier shaped like a Russian Doll.
Someone was selling a vase with fake flowers with lights.
We guessed the price...
One son was spot on with £20.
The woman said She would lower it down to £18 if I wanted it.
"It was £63 from The Range!" She bellowed at me.
I looked down at the plug and said "No" and walked off."
Next it was the CD man....
Loads of 1950s and 1960s CDs.
The kids had their 80's CDs and war songs.
Moving on,
I got the following DVDS.
Das Boot The original uncut version Digitally remastered = 4 hrs + 42 mins.
The King and I
Educating Rita
The Bridge on the River Kwai
Collector's Edition of The Untouchables
&
Kick-Ass 2 on Blu-Ray.
It took us 45 minutes to walk all around it.
We walked back around again, altogether it took us another 25 minutes.
I needed coffee...
Off the field we went.
Onwards to the nearest McDonalds.
Back home to unpack all the goodies!
Lunchtime.
More coffee needed!
I was supposed to have something delivered by DPD this morning...
As normal, he couldn't be bothered to find me and leave it the shed, took back to the depot again.
I have now asked to be delivered to a shop in the town centre tomorrow instead of it going back to the depot again!
Tea at 3.
I writes yesterday's blog post.
Once published, now to carry on with making the tea....
Hubby comes home and has a sloppy wet 💋
Tea is served.
Now to look in the today's newspaper.

Living The High Life!

There are three things I've to do: opera, rodeo, and porno
- Bea Arthur
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Nice warm hug and 💋 to start the Friday.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
Hubby has a day off work...
But he won't be living the high life with me,
He is cleaning his dad's kitchen, bathroom and living room.
He goes and gets the newspaper....
I put on the kettle...
First coffee of the day.
Then hubby goes off to collect some cleaning things from Dunelm then onto his dad's house.
I meanwhile got down to write yesterday's blog post.
My younger son's new matress arrived for his bed↓↓
They drag the old mattress outside in the back garden.
I will have to pay the Council £18 to take it away next week....
The sun might be out,
but it ain't half cold in this house!
I had to drop off son at his job.
(For doing all this running about, he was paying for the coffee!)
Out comes the big ones..
Gets 1 mocha, and 2 hot chocolates.
I drop off son and comes back home.
Only for the lid of my mocha to come off,
The mocha leaks into the bag,
I just get the bag out of the car before it pours out everywhere out of the car!
Just enough to drink...↓
Once I tied the pom poms I made yesterday to my pom pom wreath.
I got down to make some more.
I now have another job interview tomorrow \o/
Tea at 3.
I had to drop off younger son to help with delivering leaflets..
Big big sunglasses went on again..
It didn't help a BMW nearly took out my driver's side after trying to pull out of a side road.
Didn't I half give him a look for that!
Trying to find somewhere to park to drop my son off safely was another ball ache!
Waited, and waited for a parking space...
Finally got one!
Back home...
Hubby has spent 8 hours cleaning his dad's house.....
(It took me 6 hours to clean my dad's house when he was alive, and all I got off my dad was:
"You haven't hoovered the stairs!"
Which I replied to:"What did your last slave die of? Oh yes, she is six foot under!")
Hubby was getting takeaway Indian meals for us on the way home...
While I was waiting,
I looked in today's newspaper:
Sir Peter  Ustinov was an English actor, writer, and filmmaker. He was a fixture on television talk shows and lecture circuits for much of his career. An intellectual and diplomat, he held various academic posts and served as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and president of the World Federalist Movement.
Ustinov was the winner of numerous awards during his life, including two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor, Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTA Awards for acting, and a Grammy Award for best recording for children, as well as the recipient of governmental honours from, amongst others, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. He also displayed a unique cultural versatility which frequently earned him the accolade of a Renaissance man. Miklós Rózsa, composer of the music for Quo Vadis and of numerous concert works, dedicated his "String Quartet No. 1, Op. 22" (1950) to Ustinov
He would have been a 100 years old today🎈
He sadly died aged 82 in 2004

Bobby Vinton  is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. As a teen idol, he became known as 'The Polish Prince', as his music paid tribute to his Polish heritage. One of his most popular songs is "Blue Velvet" (a cover of the 1951 song recorded by Tony Bennett) which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1963 and No. 2 in the UK in 1990.
He is 86 years old.
Mary  O'Brien OBE, professionally known as Dusty Springfield, was a British singer and record producer whose career extended from the late 1950s to the 1990s. With her distinctive mezzo-soprano sound, she was a significant singer of blue-eyed soul, pop and dramatic ballads, with French chanson, country and jazz also in her repertoire. During her 1960s peak she ranked among the most successful British female performers on both sides of the Atlantic and her image – marked by a peroxide blonde bouffant/beehive hairstyle, heavy makeup (thick black eyeliner and eye shadow) and evening gowns, as well as stylised, gestural performances – made her an icon of the Swinging Sixties. She is a member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame. International polls have cited Springfield as one of the finest female popular singers of all time.
She would have been 82 years old 🎈
She sadly died aged 59 in 1999.

Gerald Rafferty  was a Scottish rock singer-songwriter. His solo hits in the late 1970s included "Baker Street", "Right Down the Line" and "Night Owl", as well as "Stuck in the Middle with You", which was recorded with the band Stealers Wheel in 1973.
He would have been 74 years old 🎈
He died in 2011 aged 63

Nice cup of coffee to start the morning off with!
Now to write yesterday's blog!
Email from the delivery company...
Couldn't find my house,
Paint gone back to depot,
Try again tomorrow!
GREAT!
Let's hope they find me tomorrow!
I also have the Plumber coming tomorrow to service the boiler, let's hope he turns up this time....
I wrote and published yesterday's blog.
No painting to be done....
Tidy up instead.
First declutted some of the Dining Room.
A lot was from my late dad's house.
Including the infamous Chef cookie jar I bought my late parents.
Moved it to a safer place
(I hope!)
I found a Birthday present and card that I got for a ex-friend over four years ago.
While I was on my previous lollypop job, I had the card and present in my lollypop coat pocket.Because it was raining at the time, she didn't come out of the car to fetch it! I had got home later and left it on the table. She dropped off my son after school, I texted her to wait for my son to get her present. She didn't wait but drove off!
Card went in the recycle bin.
I'm sure I can reuse the presents again in the near future.
I got more recycling done, all the way up to lunch.
Back to doing some tidying up.
I found some old ceramic flour and bread jars and they went into the kitchen window.
Like  those below↓
I had a nice long chat with my Lollypop boss,
It was nice to have a chat!
Tea at 3.
I told one of my sons that if he don't get his bedroom tidied, I will be in there tomorrow....
He thinks I'm joking!!!!
The white vinegar I put a order in, failed to arrive today.
Hoping it will turn up tomorrow.
Now to start on tea for tonight.
The pork meatballs I got from Waitrose last week were crap!
Ended up with more mince in the pan afterwards!
Chopped up some mushrooms, onions, garlic and some peppers to it all.
Chopped tomatos went over it.
Lingine went in the saucepan.
Gave hubby a sloppy wet 💋 when he came home.
Tea was served up.
We watched today's Judge Rinder.
Quick read of today's newspaper.
