"I've spent 40 years telling people I never worked in a cocktail bar!" - Susan from The Human League
Welcome back to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Last day of being on the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Nice warm hug to start the day with.
Brew with breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on .
Dressed.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before he leaves.
(He is going to his Aunt's funeral with his dad later on this afternoon)
Put's on one winter hat and one glove.
Puts on my lights.
Now to walk down to my spot.
Now for the fun to start!
Already had 3 BOINGs on 3 car roofs as they went under my stick and failed to stop.
Soon the presents were arriving.
I gave the grieving mum who lost her dad, yesterday a present I received to her for her kids for Christmas.
She will a phone call when her dad's funeral will be.
I got chatting to a mum over my time.
Texts my hubby, then I got chatting to the man whose hand is down slowly going after his op.
His wife and he is going to a Christmas meal on Christmas Day for £85 each.
(He is having second thoughts about going)
He also is having trouble with his £500 Spin Bike he bought off Amazon. The firm in Japan where he got it from is not being helpful about something being matter with it.
His wife rides 7 miles a day on it.
He ride 11 miles on it a day.
I can barely do 3 miles on mine!
I forgot I was meeting a friend for coffee and chat.
I wished him a good Christmas.
Now to meet my friend.
Met her in the car park.
Walked up to the coffee shop.
All the tables were all booked.
The owner did squeeze us in.
Now for coffee and nibble.
Once we finished,
Off to look around the Charity Shop.
Nice Russian Doll.
Said goodbye to my friend.
While on the way home, a red car came up by the side of me at the road traffic island. As I pulled off, it passed me and then it undertook me and I followed it all the way to Ipsley Pool.
I got the newspaper before I got home.
Now for some light lunch.
With another coffee.
Hubby phoned up to tell me he was given the wrong time for his Aunt's Funeral.
He was told 1.30pm, in fact it was 11.30am.
Great!
Now out with my younger son to do the final shift.
We got stuck behind a tractor doing 20 m.p.h, and no where to overtake it.
Puts on my winter hat and gloves.
Puts on my lights.
Now to have a rabbit with my two friends.
I wished them a good weekend.
Now to start the final shift before I break up for Christmas Holidays.
One 4x4 nearly got his windscreen tap and cracked. One Silver taxi nearly had the same fate.
I was given some presents to cap off my Friday :)
The same 4x4 drove past me, and then parked up on double yellow lines for ten minutes.
Home time for us now.
Back next year.
Hubby was back before us.
Put all my presents together.
Much needed brew.
Then I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Hubby made the tea.
What's behind the Advent Calender door?
I had a look in today's newspaper..
Sir Thomas Hicks, OBE , known professionally as Tommy Steele, is an English entertainer, regarded as Britain's first teen idol and rock and roll star. After being discovered at the 2i's Coffee Bar, he recorded a string of hit singles including "Rock with the Caveman" (1956) and the chart-topper "Singing the Blues" (1957). Steele's rise to fame was dramatised in The Tommy Steele Story (1957), the soundtrack of which was the first British album to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart. He starred in further musical films including The Duke Wore Jeans (1958) and Tommy the Toreador (1959), the latter spawning the hit "Little White Bull". By the 1960s, Steele was an all-round entertainer, appearing in West End theatre productions and starring in musical films including Half a Sixpence (1967), The Happiest Millionaire (1967) and Finian's Rainbow (1968). My son asked me if I have used the "My Soundtrack" on Amazon Music.
I said no.
He then grumbled on the songs that was on his Soundtrack.
"Who are that band Gilbert O' Sullivan?"
"It isn't them, is he!"
"Next they play Squeeze, they only had 2 hits!"
He said.
"My favourite not in that two?" I asked.
"Not a chance !" He said.
Then he moaned about Dr Hook!
I will have to see what is on my soundtrack!
We watched "Have I Got News For You."
Now to enjoy the last of the Friday Feeling in bed 🎈
