Nice Bit Of Luck!

Ducking for apples. Change one letter and it's the story of my life - Dorothy Parker.
Welcome to my Thursday 🍰☕
Nice warm hug to start the day off with :)
Brew with breakfast.
Time to add the thermal vest.
I had covered up Sexy Beast last night.
The temperatures didn't go down to freezing.
Two winter hats and big big gloves go on.
I put on my lights.
Now for fun time 🍭
One woman in a black fiat 500 goes under my stick, and then takes off both hands off her steering wheel, and shows me her palms!!!!!
Who is steering her car???
Still have the limbo dancers chancing their luck under my big stick!
Especially them on the other side of the road!
I survived!
I picks up newspaper on the way home.
Quick coffee.
I told my youngest son to keep an ear out for the DPD delivery man.
Off I go to enjoy a coffee morning with friends.
Picks up one friend.
Now to meet another one there.
I bring a empty Hero's tub to put the cake in, to take home for the 3 men of the family.
I have a slice of cake, and coffee.
I bought my own blue milk with me.
I am joined with my two friends I have a chat with in the afternoon 👄💬
I have a go on the raffle.
One friend said, "I will laugh if you win first prize!"
We get our photo took to go in the local newspaper next week.....
(I'm sure some people will use my photo as a dart board!)
I said "Goodbye" to everyone.
I said see ya later to my friend.
I dropped the other friend home.
Back home I go.
I finished the soup off I made yesterday.
The DPD driver couldn't or wouldn't find my house.
It has to be delivered elsewhere tomorrow again!
I went upstairs before I was due to leave.
I came back down and had a miscall.
I phoned them back, and found out:
I had won First prize in the raffle :)
I will pick it up when I go down in a minute.
Round 2 time.
Goes and picks up the First Prize from the Library. I have a chat with everyone in there.
Leaves it in Sexy Beast.
My friend parks next to me.
I asked if she had a phone call, she said no.
I ask her to look on the front seat.
She laughed, and said, "You didn't win first prize?"
"Yep!".
We then walk up to turn on my lights.
Back to our normal spot and was joined by our other friend for a rabbit....
We say goodbye to each other.
Now to let the fun start 🍭
Oh dear, here we go with the Limbo dancers.
One went straight under my stick, so low, I could have took off his car ariel!
The cars are the otherside ain't stopping either!
Then a car goes past , and the passenger (grandson) throws out half eaten apple out of his window!
That could have hit me!
Glad I finished in one piece!
Hometime.
I starts writing one of two blog posts.
Inbetween doing that, on goes the tea as well.
Hubby comes home and a big wet one 💋
Tea is served up...
There were four empty plates :)

Lent Is Looming!

There is nothing in the world more reassuring than an unhappy lottery winner - Tony Parsons
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Nice warm hug to start the Hump Day with!
Brew with breakfast.
Hubby woke the kids up ready to start their on-line learning.
He was working from home today.
(He will be glad of the silence, when I go and fetch the newspaper, I'm sure of it!)
We needed some bits of shopping before we do our shopping on Friday.
After the experience I had in Morrisons last Sunday, I decided to do click and collect from Asda.
If I wanted it in the afternoon, I had 15 minutes to do the order, and pay for it...
Tried to remember everything we needed,
Oh dear I was late by 1 minute....
If I wanted it between 2-3pm,
It will be £3.
Fine by me, I don't have to enter the store....
Give it to me!
I looked outside and saw we had some more snow overnight.
Thermal knickers were worn and 4 layers of clothing!
Time for me to go and get the newspaper!
I was glad to go in Sexy Beast, as some of the pavements were deadly with lots of ice!
No one was at my late dad's house, only the limo and my younger brother's wife's car.
(Should charge them for parking really ;))
In need of a much needed hot coffee..
Quick read of the newspaper.

I wrote yesterday's blog.
We finally had some post after having none for the last two days!
My son's 15 tog duvet was among the post, as well as 2 bread mixes and a balloon for Mother's Day.
We had 2 more deliveries including the matching teddy fleece sheet and matching duvet cover for younger son.
He has been upgraded to a king size duvet, as with a double duvet (He has a double bed), his feet stick out under the double duvet.

Lunchtime
Now to pick up my click and order order from Asda.
That should keep us  going for a bit.

Stop Monday, I Want To Get Off!

One of the lessons of history is that nothing is often a good thing to do and always a clever thing to say - Will Durant
Welcome to my Monday🎈
Back on that Wobbly Work Wheel🎡
I enjoyed a much needed hug and cup of tea!
I gave everyone their sloppy 💋💋💋 before I left the house.
It still feels cold↓

I had some nice cards↓

I left with a nice red face.
More singing to do!
 Gets home↓

Someone had blocked up the toilet!
I flushed it after using the toilet brush.
The brown water came came over rim of the toilet, all over the floor and onto the landing!
Great!
Jam jar, bucket and blue gloves were needed for this!
Done!
Unblocked..
I didn't even have time for a coffee!
As it was raining,
I put on my sexy yellow trousers for my afternoon lollipop job..

Dark clouds are coming↓
After half an hour, the black clouds went...
Blue skies and sunshine!
I survived in one piece.
Back home↓
The kids saw the mess in the toilet.
One said sorry for blocking the toilet.
His punishment was to load up the dishwasher!
I go off to The Better Place Of Work.
As soon as I get in, I was told to deep clean a office upstairs...
I replied:"I did it on Friday night...!"
So I go and do it again..
I was just about to turn on Henry, when I was told:
"I didn't mean now....!"
Too late, Henry is now on!
Later on I was discussing a meal that was planned for April....
There were four going.....
I was asked to come along anyway.
"I only go if I am invited. When are you going?"I replied.
"After work, oh you will be still be here......!" The reply came back to that.
I brought back the free picnic basket I asked for↓
I had a much needed coffee!
Followed by Duck Stir Fry↓
Then to burn it off doing final job of the evening↓
I talk to the full moon on the way back home.
If my dad is listening, tell your prodical son to stop stripping the house!
I take off the hot rollers↓
Time to sleep off this bad afternoon!
