I Got The Music In Me!

"When you make a mistake, admit it. If you don't, you only make matters worst." - Ward Cleaver
Welcome to my Saturday 😎
It was nice to have a early cup of tea and listen to "Sounds of the 60s" in bed.
Time for another brew
&
Breakfast in bed.
Hubby got up to drop off son at work.
I meanwhile had to hang the cloths outside in the sunshine to dry...
Washing machine goes back on to wash the kids's uniforms.
Hubby comes back with a much needed bacon sandwich!
I need 2 more peg hangers as one isn't enough!
I ordered two more from Dunelm.
Not long later, I went and collected my order.
Quick look around before I pick up my order.
Too big to get into our Living room :(
I went past my late dad's house, and a 58 black van was just coming out from the drive, it followed us down the road until we turned off.
Perhaps it was the new owner looking over the house he has just bought.
Gets back home to unpack my order.
Sausage rolls for lunch.
Hubby and younger son is going off to visit hubby's dad as it's his birthday today \o/
I meanwhile had lots to do at home....
Washing machine to be loaded up again.
I ran out of room on the washing lines outside.
3 loads had to go in the tumble drier.
Hubby went to say hello to his mum first.
The blossom was nice in the graveyard.
His dad liked his present.
It went straight up on his wall.
I meanwhile had my playlist blasting out.
Plenty of singing to do while updating the blog.
Inbetween singing and blogging.
Tea at 3
I made the cottage pies for later....
I had a break of doing all the that by picking up son from his job.
Once back.
The cottage pies were put in the oven.
Back to blogging and singing.
Hubby and younger son comes back.
Time to dish up the cottage pies..
I finally got the blog up to date.
Last Saturday's, Thursday's and yesterday's blog post wrote and published!

Pete Ham  was a Welsh singer, songwriter and guitarist, best known as a lead vocalist of and composer for the 1970s rock band Badfinger, whose hit songs include "No Matter What", "Day After Day" and "Baby Blue". He also co-wrote the ballad "Without You", a worldwide number-one hit for Harry Nilsson that has become a standard covered by hundreds of artists. Ham was granted two Ivor Novello Awards related to the song in 1973.
Ham committed suicide in 1975 at the age of 27, when he became depressed while embroiled in band-related issues, such as label and management problems, as well as a lack of funds. The emotional scar his death left on Badfinger eventually led to the suicide of former bandmate Tom Evans in 1983.
He died on this day in 1975.
Harold Reid was a member of The Statler Brothers (American country music, gospel vocal group. They sang as opening act and backup singers for Johnny Cash). He died on this day in 2020  after a long battle with kidney failure, at age 80.
Sleep tea time.
Off to that warm bed.....

She was noticed internationally when she stepped in for a performance of Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia at Carnegie Hall in 1965, and then appeared at leading opera houses. Her voice was described as pure but powerful, with superb control of vocal shadings and exquisite pianissimo.
Caballé became popular to non-classical music audiences in 1987, when she recorded, at the request of the IOC, "Barcelona", a duet with Freddie Mercury, which became an official theme song for the 1992 Olympic Games. She received several international awards and also Grammy Awards for a number of her recordings.
She would have been 88 years old 🎈

Abraham Lincoln.
Welcome to my Tuesday fun 💫
Nice big hug and brew to start the day with.
Breakfast.
Early morning wake up call for my kids.
Dressed.
I gave hubby a wet one 💋 before he left to go to work.
The kids had the same before they left for school 💋💋.
Before I started anything.
I did a bit of walking up and down the path.
Loaded up the dishwasher and put it on.
Now for coffee....
Now to get yesterday's blog post wrote.
The playlist was shuffled and singing helped with sense of humour I need to write the blog post.
Just 2 posts short of 2400 published blog posts!
Trying to find that seahorse pattern.
One was $5!!!
I finally found one!
It was free!
Let's see what I can do with that!
Got in touch with my union on whether I have to change from one county to another...
Waiting for the response to it.
By time I finished writing the blog post.
I had a early lunch.
I had to click and collect some shopping from Asda.
(My son has his GCSE food assessment this Friday, so he needed more things.
He is practicing again tomorrow at home to get under the 2 hours he needs.)
Hands were washed and I wore my facemask when I collected it. I was lucky, there was only another couple there loading up their car.
I went past my late dad's house, and the driveway was still full of cars!
Back home.
Tea at 3
My magazine came, and time for a quick read of it before I start on the tea.
Another meat-free tea tonight.
Hubby came home.
He had a sloppy wet one from me.
I had a big hug in return....

We caught up with Judge Rinder.
The we caught up with the first episode of the second series of Hoarders Homes:
The episode was called: No Room to Move
We downloaded the first series.
Then we watched the first episode:
Landfill In My Living Room.
Sleep tea time.
We watched half of the second episode called:
Trapped By My Trash.
Both my parents were hoarders.
I do hoard but not to the state of not be able to get into my house!!!
As the younger brother said last year just after our dad passed away...
"We have to clear out 50 years of crap out of the house!"
Nice as normal coming from him!
He even said of my house:
"You could fill a six bedroomed house with your crap, and still need a bigger house!"
I won't comment on his hoarding problem just yet.....😶😶
Let's hope we have a sunny Hump tomorrow 🐫
