Happy New Year everyone 🎇

Just a quick update on how 2023 went for me.

The Best of 2023 

My older son became a Councillor and started at University.

I too, became a Councillor on two Parish Councils

The sequins made appearance....

My youngest son turned 18!

(Even better is I won't have to see my ex-plum any more \o/)

 We visited Blackpool twice \o/

We visited Bobby Ball's statue↓

We visited Les Dawson's grave↓

&

Keith Harris's grave↓

I came first in a Macmillan Bake Off in aid of my lovely friend who passed away in September.

The minion collection is growing...↓

Third Anniversary of cutting off both of my brothers \o/

The Worst of 2023

We stopped in two hotels and after staying there,we won't be going back again. :(

My lovely friend of 30 years passed away in September :'(

My hubby's brother cut contact with my hubby \o/

Their inheritance was paid out, no contact with hubby for two and half months until after Christmas. When hubby had got badly written message from his brother, asking where the £600 payment from a plan their dad took out for his  brother's kids was?

(Hubby didn't realise there was time limit!)

 Hubby's brother had wanted a huge games machine that hubby  got rid off while clearing out their dad's house.

(Hubby's brother couldn't fit it in his car when he came down on the Sunday after their dad had died, when he grabbed the new 2 week old microwave, and coffee maker from their dad's house)

I hope Hubby's brother enjoys his inheritance!

At least my Hubby is paying for a nice new Gravestone for his  late dad and the 5 family members in the family plot. It should be ready in April just in time for his late dad's Birthday.

We went to see Madness in concert before Christmas.

Oh dear, they only played two old hits in 40 minutes. They played their new album, which we couldn't stand. After 40 minutes we walked out of the concert. At least the DJ before Madness came out played some great tunes!

Now to see in the New Year...

Welcome to my exciting Thursday 😍

My youngest son is getting his A-level results this morning. ;)))

Breakfast and Brew.

Dressed.

I leave the same time as hubby.

I give him a sloppy wet one 💋

Goes to the local Tescos to fetch my newspaper.

Bumps into a ex-worker who turned out to be a bit of back stabber when I worked with her.

She asked how I doing.(Glad she didn't read my mind when I answered her question)

Back home I went.

Adds more to the recycle bin outside.

It being emptied today.

Coffee time.

Wishes younger son good luck as he goes and gets his results.

Out comes Kenny the Kenwood.

Quick cake to be made. 

Cakes go in the oven.

Just about manages to download yesterday's photos.

Cake cooled down.

Now to add some bits and pieces...

My son's A- level results:

Maths - A

Chemistry - A

Geography - B

Liquid lunch time.

Now out I go for a little ride...

I just got there and someone was reversing out of a space.

Time for another hair cut...

Pixie time!

While I was waiting for son who was having his  hair caught, I was chatting a woman about our holidays in Blackpool.

We talked about the charity shops in Cleveleys, Lytham, and St Annes.

I told her about last year's holiday when the kids had to catch the train back as the car was rammed.

I told her about our visit to see Les Dawson's grave we visited at Whitson.

When we go up next, we are going to see Keith Harris's grave.

My son was looking really great with his new haircut.

I told the woman before I left.

"I don't have long hairstyle no more, as I look like a bad transvestite!"

They all laughed as I went down the stairs.

Got some reduced things in Tescos before we went home.

Picture time!

Hubby has a haircut as well.

He gets a takeaway on the way back.

I recorded the first 3 episodes of "I Claudius".

It repeated on BBC 4.

Really good :)

Bank Holiday Monday

Welcome to my Bank Holiday Monday in Blackpool 🌅
 Up early for a cup of brew before going down for Breakfast.

Lovely breakfast.

Now out to get the tram and bus to St Annes.

We waited at the tram stop, when a taxi driver said:

" There were no trams running...!"

FFS

We crossed over the road to see if there was a bus running.

Not on a Bank Holiday Monday.

Back to the B&B to collect the car for a ride out.

We just one parking space in the car park at St Annes. Then off for a walk about in St Annes.

Coffee and nibble needed!

A guest wanting some food as well.

After visiting all the charity shops,

Off to see Les....

There was a large queue for ice cream↓

We get a ice cream off the front, and go for a long warm in the sunshine.

Planning being put forward↓

That should be interesting when the work is going to start....and is it going to get through.

Goes back to car.

Everyone is circling the car park for a space.

Then we get in the car and go off to find Les Dawson's grave.

Found it!

We put some flowers on it.

We had a good look around the graveyard while we were there.

Nice and warm in the sunshine.

Now to drive back to Blackpool.

We popped into Morrisons to get some tea for tonight.

Now for a drive down the front...

Back to the B&B

Unpacks all the goodies we bought.

We had our tea.

I looked into today's newspaper.

Then had a early night, and to enjoy the bed!
