                          - Wilson Mizner
Welcome to my Thursday Surprise 🎏
Headle Time
Heardle 60s:
My answers:
Breakfast and Brew.
Dressed.
(With thermal vest on!)
Now to leave the house...
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋
On goes the Summer coat with summer hat.
I gets the newspaper.
Collects the big stick.
Now to turn on my lights!
Now let's have some fun 🍭
I had to take off my scarf as I was getting well warm. My boss came down to see how I was getting on. More cars stopped while she stood there! No BOINGs were given out as they all stopped. Pity I couldn't reach the cars on the otherside of the road!
Had a yak with my boss after I finished.
Took off Summer coat and my jacket as it was getting well warm!
Walked down to the Public Loo,
Then nipped into the Charity Shop.
Had a yak in there and got some bargains!
I got some blue milk to go along with my coffee I am having at the Coffee Morning I am going to↓
I brought my empty Heros tins to put the cakes in, I am going to bring home.
Coffee time!
One friend arrived who I chat to in the afternoon.
The Coffee and Walnut was well nice!
I had a go on the raffle.
(I have won something on the raffle since January, I only missed the March one due to me having Covid)
Once cake and coffee was gone, I said goodbye to everyone.
Back home.
Unpacked my charity shop bargains.
&
The cake I bought home!
Now for a early lunch.
I got a message I had won a raffle prize!
Woo hoo :)
Now to go and do the afternoon shift.
On goes my Summer coat, Summer Hat and big big sun glasses.
I went and collected my raffle prize.
I left it in Sexy Beast.
After I put on my lights, I noticed the pillar box topper had vanished and a note left.
I went and collected my big stick and sat in the square waiting for my friends to apppear for a little rabbit!
My friend who came to the coffee morning with me didn't win nothing.
My other friend arrived at the Coffee Morning, 5 minutes after we left.
I said goodbye to my friends.
Now to do my shift in the sunshine!
Plenty of BOINGs given out, especially to those cars on the otherside of the road!
At least I finished in one piece.
Home time.
Now to get to work onto night's meal.
I had a cup of brew while making it.
Hubby came home and received a sloppy wet one 💋.
Dished up the tea.
My late neighbour's son came round for the spare key I had.
I also gave him what was left of the evening meal.
Now to look into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 2012:
Rihanna - Diamonds
US No.1 on this day in 1984:
Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You.
I managed to fit one episode of "Yellowstone".
Sleep Tea Time.
The Friday Feeling is back tomorrow 🎈

Time For A Bit Of Nibble!

Frankly, my dear, I should bury your script in a drawer and put a lily on top - Noel Coward.
Welcome to my Tuesday Yak 😃
I did end up on the sofa at 2am.
Too warm, and the added loud snores didn't help!
Back upstairs to open the curtains and greet the sunshine!
Oh dear, it is warm but no sunshine!
Heardle Time!
Heardle 60s:
My son's answers were:
Brew with Breakfast.

I gave hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 before he left for work.
I on the otherhand, is going to the big Tescos with younger son to get things he needs for his second year of doing his A-Levels.
I get my friend's Birthday card for next week.
Plus the newspaper and my neighbour's magazine.
Spends a good hour in there.
Gets back.
On goes the coffee machine.
My friend is coming over for a good yak, nibble and coffee.
I put the washing on the line.
My kids are helping the upcoming by-election by delivering leaflets.
They go off and do their delivering.
My friend comes,
Time for chat, nibble, and coffee...
Nice two hour yak.
Thanked my friend for coming.
Loaded up the dishwasher.
I had my lunch early.
Then I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Then it to sort out things for the upcoming Party.
Everyone knows I wear a hat.
So looking for something to put on my head!
Speaking of head.....
Hubby is going to attempt to shave my head again, so my hair is very short.
Very short Pixie Cut indeed!
Like this one↓
We are supposed to be having another Heat-wave next week, over the Bank Holiday!
At least I am NOT wearing pink at the party.
No one is going to be calling me Barbara Cartland at this one!
Hubby came home.
Lots of wet sloppy ones he received 😘💋💋
Tea is served up.
We watched The 70's Greatest Songs from 1978.
Our wedding song was in the top 30 :)
&
A favourite song of that year that will be at the end of this blog post......
The number 1 selling record of 1978 was:
Boney M - Rivers Of Babylon/Brown Girl In The Ring
Quick look into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1980:
David Bowie -  Ashes to Ashes
UK No.1 on this day in 2018:
George Ezra - Shotgun
US No.1 on this day in 1969:

Hubby then went to soak his feet in the bath afterwards.

Nice Bit Of Luck!

Ducking for apples. Change one letter and it's the story of my life - Dorothy Parker.
Welcome to my Thursday 🍰☕
Nice warm hug to start the day off with :)
Brew with breakfast.
Time to add the thermal vest.
I had covered up Sexy Beast last night.
The temperatures didn't go down to freezing.
Two winter hats and big big gloves go on.
I put on my lights.
Now for fun time 🍭
One woman in a black fiat 500 goes under my stick, and then takes off both hands off her steering wheel, and shows me her palms!!!!!
Who is steering her car???
Still have the limbo dancers chancing their luck under my big stick!
Especially them on the other side of the road!
I survived!
I picks up newspaper on the way home.
Quick coffee.
I told my youngest son to keep an ear out for the DPD delivery man.
Off I go to enjoy a coffee morning with friends.
Picks up one friend.
Now to meet another one there.
I bring a empty Hero's tub to put the cake in, to take home for the 3 men of the family.
I have a slice of cake, and coffee.
I bought my own blue milk with me.
I am joined with my two friends I have a chat with in the afternoon 👄💬
I have a go on the raffle.
One friend said, "I will laugh if you win first prize!"
We get our photo took to go in the local newspaper next week.....
(I'm sure some people will use my photo as a dart board!)
I said "Goodbye" to everyone.
I said see ya later to my friend.
I dropped the other friend home.
Back home I go.
I finished the soup off I made yesterday.
The DPD driver couldn't or wouldn't find my house.
It has to be delivered elsewhere tomorrow again!
I went upstairs before I was due to leave.
I came back down and had a miscall.
I phoned them back, and found out:
I had won First prize in the raffle :)
I will pick it up when I go down in a minute.
Round 2 time.
Goes and picks up the First Prize from the Library. I have a chat with everyone in there.
Leaves it in Sexy Beast.
My friend parks next to me.
I asked if she had a phone call, she said no.
I ask her to look on the front seat.
She laughed, and said, "You didn't win first prize?"
"Yep!".
We then walk up to turn on my lights.
Back to our normal spot and was joined by our other friend for a rabbit....
We say goodbye to each other.
Now to let the fun start 🍭
Oh dear, here we go with the Limbo dancers.
One went straight under my stick, so low, I could have took off his car ariel!
The cars are the otherside ain't stopping either!
Then a car goes past , and the passenger (grandson) throws out half eaten apple out of his window!
That could have hit me!
Glad I finished in one piece!
Hometime.
I starts writing one of two blog posts.
Inbetween doing that, on goes the tea as well.
Hubby comes home and a big wet one 💋
Tea is served up...
There were four empty plates :)
