The grass is always greener once you don't have to mow a lawn anymore - Randy Milholland
Welcome to my wet Thursday.
The rain is getting worst...
5 years ago today in my previous job of Lollipop Lady I too got wet↓
I enjoyed a much needed cup of tea and cuddle in bed↓
I gives everyone sloppy 💋💋💋 before I go out in the rain.
I have the waterproof trousers on↓
Still cold↓
One of the main roads I use to get to my lollipop job was getting flooded.
I'm going to get wet↓
Trying to keep the rain out...
It didn't help the trousers kept falling down....
(I must remember they go over the belly not under it!)
I was so soggy after I got finished.
When I got back, I found out the main roads I go to do my dinner job were flooded.
I tried the third way only to be met with a lake.
I phoned the school to say I can't make it.
(They closed the school after dinner due to roads getting flooded)
I drove back home with the newspaper.
Michael Robbins would have been 89 years old 🎈
He died aged 62 in 1992
Lemsip with nibble time↓
Back out in the rain I go↓
It's still raining↓
My waterproof trousers didn't fall down this time...:)
Another wet lollipop time 🍭
On the way back home, the river by the Washford Mill pub was bursting its banks.
I texted hubby to leave work a.s.a.p as he was going to be stranded in Evesham if he didn't leave.
I stripped off the wet clothes,
&
then off to the Happy Place Of Work
With some good music to sing along with:
Hubby left work early,
Flooded roads, the river Arrow by the Washford Mill did burst its banks, flooded the pub and car park.
Hubby got back after an hour, safely!
It was still raining when I got back home.
*I had a nice big hug off hubby!*
Once kids came back from Coding Club, we enjoyed a lovely mince meal.
I caught up with one episode of Law and Order:
Back out in the rain for more work with another great tune↓
I gets back and it was nice to jump into the bed with a warm hubby!
