The Need For No Speed!

Clever food is not appreciated at Christmas. It makes the little ones cry and the old ones nervous - Oliver Wendell Holmes
Welcome to my Christmas Hump of the week 🎄🐫
Woo hoo Christmas Day is finally here!
I had to wake up in excitement
or
Just needed a cup of tea↓
The oven was turned on to get the turkey cooked..
Back to sleep....
At ten am....
With a cup of coffee..
It was downstairs to open the presents!
 Loads of lovely presents↓
 Hubby's presents↓
This is my youngest son's present↓
 Nice breakfast↓
The cake is ready to eat↓
We go off for a little ride..
To see my dad and give him his presents.
My youngest brother and his wife is bringing him his Christmas dinner this year.
I gets back to put everything else in the oven,
 Hubby goes fetches his dad.
Once my father-in-law arrives.
Christmas dinner is ready to serve up↓
 Well nice :)
We catch up on some movies to watch:
We had crackers and cheese for tea.
I had to scrape Sexy Beast as the car was frozen!
I went down those country lanes without any street lights, with only my headlights on and some good Christmas music...
Some car drivers didn't like been stuck behind me sticking to the speed limit....
I didn't fancy finding myself in the hedge if I speeded up on the icy dark roads!
*Had the same fun coming back.....!*
We put my dad to bed,
As younger brother changed his mind about stopping over night!
The prodigal brother is visiting my dad tomorrow and hoping my other brother will see my dad too!
Now to watch Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special ...
Then we watched a programme on BBC News on the Celebrity Deaths in 2019
There was some sad news,
Allee Willis  was an American songwriter and director. She died on Christmas Eve aged 72. Willis co-wrote hit songs including "September" and "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind & Fire. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for "I'll Be There For You", which was used as the theme song for the sitcom Friends, and won two Grammy Awards for Beverly Hills Cop and The Color Purple, the latter of which was also nominated for a Tony Award. She was the only woman to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018.
Rod Serling, writer and host (Twilight Zone, Night Gallery), would have been 94 years old.🎈
He died aged 50 in 1975.
Kenny Everett [Maurice James Christopher Cole], British DJ and TV personality (Kenny Everett Show), would have be 75 years old🎈
He died aged 50 in 1995
