Something Has Come Down In Price!

Welcome to my Thursday 🎶
Nice big hug to start the day with.
Brew with Breakfast.
Hubby got ready for work.
He had a nice wet one before he left for work.
Then I got up,
(Thermal vest went on)
While kids got up.
I enjoyed a early coffee...
Once we were ready to go....
We left:
First stop, to get the newspaper.
Next stop was Sainsburys↓
A laundry basket I wanted last year,
has now been reduced!
£6.50 instead of £20 last year :)
The kids got my Birthday cards for Monday.
Front cover of Private Eye.
Dropped off son at work.
Back home.
The laundry basket was soon filled!
The dishwasher was on the load up.
The coffee machine was put on.
Now to do some tidying up around the place!
With added coffee!
Once that was done.
I started writing two blog posts.
My lunchtime was inbetween.
Back on to it.
Tea at 3 next. 
I just finished the last blog when hubby came home.
He was rewarded with a sloppy wet one!
Pan fried the pork chops.
Then chopped up various veg that needed to be ate up.
Then all put in the oven for 20 minutes.
Tea is served on a bed of basmati rice.
Yum!
Now to look into today's newspaper.
Alfredo Lettieri  was an American actor. Active during the 1960s and 70s until his death, he commonly portrayed villainous characters. He achieved recognition for his performance as mobster Virgil Sollozzo in the crime film The Godfather (1972) and appeared in several other productions alongside Hollywood's biggest screen stars.
He would have been 94 years old 🎈
He sadly died aged 47 in 1975. 
Paul Jones (born Paul Pond, ) is an English singer, actor, harmonicist, radio personality and television presenter. He first came to prominence as the lead singer and harmonicist of the successful 1960s group Manfred Mann, with whom he had several Top Ten hit records from 1962 to 1966. He presented The Blues Show on BBC Radio 2 for thirty-two years, from 1986 to 2018.
He is 80 years old 🎈 
David Goldstein , better known as Rupert Holmes, is a British-American composer, singer-songwriter, musician, dramatist and author. He is widely known for the hit singles "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" (1979) and "Him" (1980). He is also known for his musicals The Mystery of Edwin Drood, which earned him two Tony Awards, and Curtains, and for his television series Remember WENN
He is 75 years old 🎈 
Johnnie Ray 
was an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Highly popular for most of the 1950s, Ray has been cited by critics as a major precursor to what became rock and roll, for his jazz and blues-influenced music, and his animated stage personality. Tony Bennett called Ray the "father of rock and roll", and historians have noted him as a pioneering figure in the development of the genre.
He died on this day in 1990 aged 63.

I only had a little bit of the book left to read.

Hubby went to keep the bed warm.
Finally finished the good book...

Wrap, Stick, Add Name Tag!

I gave my wife a brand new watch for Christmas - waterproof,shockproof, unbreakable, and antimagnetic. Absolutely could happen to it. She lost it - Milton Berle.

Brew with breakfast.
I gave hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before he went off to work.
I stopped in bed for half an hour before getting dressed.
Hubby went and got the newspaper on the way.

Once I got up,
Dressed,
Time for coffee!
I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Then I had a pile of presents to wrap up.
Even wrapped one for me, from me↓

I have some more I remembered,
but will do them tomorrow.

Light lunchtime.
Fancied a good DVD to watch.....

Now to get the tea ready for tonight.

John Robert "Joe" Cocker OBE  was an English singer known for his gritty, bluesy voice and dynamic stage performances that featured expressive body movements. Most of his best known singles were covers of songs by other artists, though he composed a number of his own songs for most of his albums as well, often in conjunction with songwriting partner Chris Stainton.
He sadly died aged 70 in 2014.
"Doctor Zhivago" based on the novel by Boris Pasternak, directed by David Lean and starring Omar Sharif and Julie Christie premieres in NYC in 1965
"The Graduate" American comedy-drama film directed by Mike Nichols, starring Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft, is released (Best Director 1968) in 1967. 
Rupert Holmes was No 1 in the US top 100 Singles charts in 1979 with "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)

My cake tins are arriving tomorrow,
So the Christmas Cake can be made.

Trying To Escape The Monday Mood!

Welcome to my Monday 🏠
Hug with a cup of brew.
Breakfast.
Gave hubby a sloppy wet 😘 before he went to work.
Dressed.
Lots to get on with this morning.
Washing machine goes on twice.
Once that was done, hung it all out on the line!
Now for a much needed coffee!
Then out for a little ride in Sexy Beast.
Got the newspaper,
Back home.
Now to empty the overnight bag from the weekend.
Watered all the plants inside and out.
A good book arrived for me to read later.
Lunchtime.
Then to write 2 blogs from the weekend.
Loads of photos of cars going to be put on!
Tea at 3.
Then for some reading....
Interesting....
Cooked up a Stir-Fry for me and one son.
The other son doesn't like hot Stir Fry!
Hubby was visiting his dad.
Quick read of today's newspaper.
Followed by two episodes of
Hubby comes back, well tired.
Sleep tea time.
Out and About tomorrow.....\o/
