10/10?

An expert is a person who can take something you knew already and make it sound confusing - Herbert Prochnow
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Before getting dressed, and breakfast.
It was Heardles time...
The 60s Heardle was:
Now for breakfast and brew.
The weather forecast was a bit hit and miss.
Rain this morning and some said nothing.
On goes the summer skirt.
(No Thermal vest!)
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one before I leave.
The hall car park wasn't open in time for me to park in there. I got the newspaper and next door's magazine. I was trusting those dark clouds. On goes the big coat with the hood.
Turns on the lights.
Let's go to work!
As I stood there it started to rain.
I knew the pine cone back home has closed up for a reason!
The rain wasn't due until 9am!
On goes the hood!.
Cold, wet, and windy!
Lovely.
I had to give a few BOINGs out for those car drivers failing to STOP and going under my big stick!
Finished in one piece.
Back home.
Puts the coffee machine on.
Now to chop some vegetables up for tonight's tea....
Chop, chop, chop.
Now for some much needed coffee!
Sorted out more washing that I did yesterday.
The washing machine had to go back on as well!
I hope that washer can hold out!
More housework up to lunch.
Nice juicy sandwich...
Younger son got a Wobbly box for me from Lidl :)
Now to do the afternoon shift.
I looked at the dark clouds.
The big coat goes on.
Puts on my lights.
Nice Pillar Box cover.
Sits down, and waits for my friends to come.
Friends arrive.
Rabbit time!
I looked  up and my Supervisor arrived.
I said goodbye to my friends and not to be observed doing my job!
One of the parents, asked my Supervisor:
"Are you going to give her 10/10?"
My Supervisor laughed.
One car went under my stick.
The sun came out,
I was nice and sweaty in my big coat.
At least I survived!
Said goodbye to my Supervisor.
Off home I went.
Time for a brew...
Puts on the tea.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one when he came home.
Tea is served.
Yum!
Now to look into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1961:
The Temperance Seven - You're Driving Me Crazy.
UK No.1 on this day in 1996:
Gina G - Ooh Aah...Just a little bit.
USA No.1 on this day in 1985:
Wham - Everything She Wants.
Some of the problem was cut back,
However not enough,as the TV picture is still disappearing!
Now to enjoy the sunset!
Sleep Tea time.
Off to a nice warm bed......

Enjoying Friday Night With The Manfreds!

"Who's singing this?" - Anon
"Manfred Mann!"I replied
"Manfred who?" Anon answered back - 8/2/2019
Welcome back to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Warm hug to start Friday with....💑
Brew with breakfast.
It doesn't look cold outside...
Dressed.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before I leave.
Traffic lights have now been removed from the bottom of the road I work in.
Normal way to work \o/
It was quite cold to start off with.
On goes my winter hat, gloves and 4 layers under my summer coat.
I puts on my lights...
Now for some fun on a Friday!
Some car drivers were having a bit much of the Friday Feeling, and still carrying on underneath my stick....
Plus the temperature was going up ↗↗
I was getting warm under my hat!
I finished in one piece!
I gets the newspaper on the way home.
I puts on the coffee machine.
Now to pack the bag for tonight's getaway.
Bag packed.
Coffee time.
No Fed-Ex delivery.
I sends another email to the business I got my parcel from, saying if I don't get my parcel redelivered by Monday, I want a full refund.
Soon gets a response!
They are talking to Fed-Ex themselves!
Now to write yesterday's blog post.
Hubby comes back at lunchtime....
We have lunch together.
He was getting more stuff from the lockup while I am doing my afternoon shift.
I gives him a sloppy wet 💋before I leave.
I took off two layers, put my summer coat on with my summer hat....
On the way to put on my lights...
I got chatting......
After 20 minutes I put on my lights as two friends were waiting for me to do more chatting...
Once it was nearly time to start.
I wished my friends a good weekend.
Now for round 2...
The traffic was being good for once...
No problems at all!
Finished in one piece.
Once finished, time to get a move on...
I got changed, picked overnight bag up.
Now to catch the taxi to train station.
We caught train, not many wearing face masks now. We were sat behind three men, who were talking about their lives in general.
One has a break from his girlfriend while she went to uni to be a Social Worker. In that time he was seeing a mother he met dropping off his son at school. He was just about to sleep with this mother at his place when the girlfriend turned up at his house....
That didn't end too good.
The second man was drinking a lot of the Monster drink. He was on his way to watch the Birmingham City v West Brom match on a houseboat.
The third man was talking a bit quiet for me to hear anything.
One got off 3 stops later, and the two other men got off the stop before us.
We got off at our stop, and found the place we are stopping at, tonight.
Signs in.
Now up to the 18th floor.
Now for our afternoon tea for 2.
Nice views of Birmingham City Centre.
Now to leave for the concert.
We were following directions on the Uber app for our driver. Ended up walking around the block 3 times!
Nice moon out.
Gets the driver by the old Debenhams.
Gets dropped near the Town Hall.
Got our tickets.
I noticed we were the youngest ones in the audience, and only about 15 were wearing facemasks including us!
They were talking about the new greatest hits album that has been released...↓↓↓
The second song they sung was was my favourite:
Both Paul Jones and Mike d'Abo took turns in singing.
Then Georgie Fame came on to sing some of his hits and other songs until the break...
During the break,we had a soft drink.
Georgie Fame came back on for the second half to sing his third number one hit....
Then the Manfreds came out to sing this one with Georgie:
Mike d'Abo then told the audience make sure you happy with your married partner then went onto sing..
then it was:
They finished the concert with:
We stood up and gave them a great clap at the end.
We walked back to the Rotunda.
There were some great night time views.
Now to enjoy the nice bed 🛏
Night all x
