R-E-L-A-X-I-N-G

If you can't see the humour in yourself, you could be missing the joke of the century - Dame Edna Everage
Welcome to my Saturday 😖
I had a big lie-in this morning.
I missed "The Sounds of the 60s"!
Late breakfast and brew.
Dressed.
Popped into Lidl to do some food shopping.
Back home to unload it.
No liquid lunch....
Then back out ....
Let's have a look around....
Back home to unload the shopping.
Quick read of today's newspaper.
We watched some James Whale.
Then Headliners.
Sleep Tea Time.
Off to a warm bed with a even warmer hubby.

Making the Most Of The Friday Feeling At Home!

The quickest way to make a million? Marry it - Zsa Zsa Gabor
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Breakfast and Brew
Got dressed.
The Council is sending someone round to fix the lock on the front door.
While we wait, time for a much needed coffee...
I was in the middle of writing my second blog post when the man came to do the door.
We had quite a good chat afterwards.
I went back to writing my blog posts.
I had a sandwich for lunch.
The final storage container was moved.
We had a female Sky Engineer come replace our old Sky + Box for a Sky Q box.
(It works out cheaper each month)
Then I went on to write another blog post.
Afterwards, I cut back some of the bamboo from next door's back garden, as it was getting difficult for the Postman to put letters through the letterbox.
Can get to the front door.....now↑↑
I spy with my little eye.......↑
The tea was ready...
Now to watch a good film....↓
Nice drink to enjoy ;)
Roll on to the weekend...
Hoping the sun carries on shining tomorrow...

Sunny Hump!

Anyone can get old.All you have to do is to live long enough - Groucho Marx
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Breakfast and Brew.
Dressed.
Now to leave the house...
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 before I leave for work.
On goes the Summer hat and Summer coat
&
Big big sunglasses.
I walks down the road to put on my lights.
Picks up the newspaper on the way back.
Swaps my newspaper for my big stick.
Now to turn on my other lights.
Off to work I go 🍭
I have to give out a few BOINGs.
A big black cloud came over.
I was glad to finish in one piece.
Back home I go.
My friend popped in for coffee and chat.
Thanked her for popping in.
I had a email from the Council, who are servicing my boiler on the 26th July.
Then I had a visit from the Electrican who is going to rewire next door on the same day as the Council is going to service the boiler.
Going to be noisy on that day!
Liquid lunch time.
I had a chat with hubby on his lunch break.
Now to leave to do the afternoon shift.
I put on my winter coat and summer hat, as I don't trust those clouds.
I walked up to put on my lights.
Back down the road to turn on my other lights. Then went and collected my big stick from
Sexy Beast.
I had a nice rabbit with friends in the square.
I said goodbye to my friends when it was time to start my shift.
It looks it is going to rain.
Then a van parks on the double yellow lines, so I can't see the traffic coming up the road, and they can't see me going into the road!
They look at me when they drive off!
A few BOINGs given out for the traffic on the otherside of the road.
Finished in one piece.
Collects a catalogue for the next Council meeting.
Back home.
Cup of brew time.
I had a phone call from the Council about the rewiring going to place.
(To confirm the date for my boiler to be serviced)
I didn ask them about if the loft next door is going to be emptied as there is rubbish building up by their back door and no one has been back to finish it!
Then I put the tea on.
Hubby comes back and he has a sloppy wet one 💋.
Tea is served.
Yum.
Looks into today's newspaper.
Another Bond film to watch?
Great film :)
Sleep Tea Time.
Off to bed with even warmer hubby ;)

Remembering Our Dads...

A hard man is a good to find - Mae West
Father's Day
Welcome to a lovely Sunday 💓
We were up early so I could take hubby out for breakfast...
I had the Continental breakfast.
Hubby had the Full English one.
It was nice to have the Nutella chocolate spread for once!
Once finished.
Popped to see my dad with his balloons 🎈
Someone has been buried one up from my parent's grave↓
Wished my dad a happy Father's Day.
Back home.
Hubby had some nice presents of our kids.
What comes with happiness today comes a bit of sadness.
Last year's Father's Day we took out hubby's dad for a meal↓
The last time my dad, hubby's dad got together was 2018↓
As 2019 was Dad was bed-bound.
In 2020, my dad passed away.
Gone but never forgotten 💓💓💓💓
Our local radio station played a request for my hubby for Father's Day.
Even played the song we wanted....↓
We did today's Heardles.
Heardle 60s was:
My son's answers↓
Hubby had to sort through some of his late dad's things.
A trip down Memory lane...
It was while performing in Cinderella on 1st January 1986, Dustin Gee had a Heart Attack.
He sadly didn't recover and passed away on the 3rd January 1986 aged 43 :(
We went back out to see if younger brother had took anything off the grave.
It was still the same from this morning
Rechecked my tyre pressures on Sexy Beast.
Actually now up to date on the blog now \o/
After our lovely steak meal.
I watched a programme about my late dad's favourite singer...
