Ice Cold Monday

A true friend is one who stabs you in the front - Oscar Wilde
Welcome abroad my Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Nice warm hug to start the working week with.
Brew with Breakfast.
Looked out of window...
It looks cold out there!
Thermal vest goes on.
&
Plenty of layers to match!
Now to uncover Sexy Beast.
Nice full moon!
Gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before I leave.
On the way to work, the temperature drops further to  -1.5c.
Two winter hats, and big big winter gloves go on.
Goes onto put on my lights.
Still seeing tanks and cars with no lights on.
Lights go on, now to walk on down the road to my spot.
There is a poster of a female comedienne to do her act soon on the nearby telegraph pole near to my post.
(Bear this in my mind for later)
I knew it was going to be one of those day.
Several cars stop in the KEEP CLEAR space, thus me not be able to cross kids over, had to do it further up the road!!!!
FFS
One car went past with only a little hole he had made to see out of the windscreen, no other windows was scraped!
One parent said of the woman on the poster,
"That's your twin sister! Are you going to see her perform?"
I smiled and said,"What do I want to do that for?
When I can look in the mirror and be funny!"
One big lorry parked in the KEEP CLEAR space.
Good job there was a space behind it for me to cross the kids over!
Then it was the turn of car doing the limbo under my stick, plenty of BOINGS giving out!
The man who had a trip to Finland before our first Lockdown appeared.
He asked who makes me laugh?
"Programmes like Ain't Half Hot Mum, Kenny Everett, Dear John, etc"
He likes Chubby Brown, I replied, Les Dawson.
Then he said,"Jimmy Carr."
I replied,"Can't stand him, he is funny as a Chocolate fireguard in a hot summer!"
I then crossed him and someone else over.
Finished this interesting morning session.
Now to nip into the Post Office to post my letter to the American Prison Pen Pal.
Because I enclose a homemade facemask I made, it was a bulky, I had to fill out a customs note.
£4.20 later.
(Still cheaper than flying out to hand deliver it!)
Collects newspaper on the way home.
Coffee machine went on.
Now to change into my pink lyrca!
Out comes the spin bike
&
On go another film to watch.
Just getting into it.
Knock on the door.
"Can I take a parcel in for next door?"
"Yes," give him my name, puts parcel on my stairs.
Swings leg over bike to start again.
Knock on the door again.
Gets off swing bike, the delivery driver wants parcel back as my neighbour son is there with him wanting his parcel. I give the delivery driver the parcel back, and shuts the door.
Now back onto the spin bike I go.
After 35 minutes on that, out comes the Abs machine.
A good 20 minutes on that!
While I was working out on that, the soup maker was on.
Puts Abs machine back.
Get's changed.
Now to have some nice soup with coffee!
Chicken and Veg Soup.
Blue skies are out!
Round two.
Next door's carer had parked behind my car.
I came out, and she reversed off the drive!
Big Big Sunglasses Time
I puts on two hats, and gloves.
Turns on my lights and chats with my two friends.
The low lying sun is going to be a BIG problem!
I said goodbye to my friends.
I started the first afternoon shift of the week.
Oh dear,
One blue Jar with a woman driving, didn't stop at all and done a limbo dance right under my lowered stick!
Another car went open, and I could have tapped their car ariel they were were that close going under my stick.
More fun of cars on the otherside of the road not stopping either!
I am glad I finished in one piece!
Hometime
Back home.
Covers up Sexy Beast.
(It's going down to -3c tonight)
Puts the kettle on.
But first, time to get a little warm.
A quick play with Henry helped!
Much needed Brew!
I carried on writing yesterday's blog post.
Once done,
Time for a bit of Meat Stir Fry!
Afterwards a look in today's newspaper.
Chris Montez (born Ezekiel  Montañez)  is an American guitarist and vocalist, whose stylistic approach has ranged from rock & roll to pop standards and Latin music. His rock sound is exemplified in songs such as his 1962 hit "Let's Dance", which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. He has also recorded in Latin styles. Over the intervening years, he has continued to work in all three modes.
He is 79 years old 🎈

Looking In The Mirror!

There is no such as a little garlic - Arthur Baer
Welcome to my Saturday 👍
I woke up at 5.50am.
I got up and made a brew.
I listened to "The Sounds of the 60s" while writing yesterday's blog post.
Sleeping Beauty woke up and we enjoyed breakfast.
Then to wake up son to drop him off at his work.
Dressed.
It was my hubby's late mum's 81st Birthday today.
(She passed away 26 years ago)
Then out!
Drops off son.
Then off to Stratford Car Boot.
We had to park in the overspill car park.
Spot the Eastenders Characters!
Now to look around....
Here is the conversation I overheard...
Buyer: The view is not nice in this mirror..
Seller: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Buyer:I'm interested in this mirror
Seller:Give me an offer for it
Buyer: There is a bit missing of the mirror, no thanks, and he put the mirror down!
I found another Black eyed Susan vine.
Red flowers on it.
It was only £2.50!
Bargain!
Another look around.
I went past a old Singer Sewing Machine...
It looked good...
Bit the hand's man off for how much it was.
It was heavy, hubby had to swap hands taking it back to the car!
The boot full.
Now off to visit Alcester.
There was no price on anything....
I got a card and balloons for my friend who is 70 today.
We enjoyed a fishcake and chips lunch.
Now to deliver the balloons and card!
He wasn't in, so I tied the balloons to the door handle.
(I'm sure he will be pleased when he came back!)
Back home to unpack the car
&
Have a much needed coffee!
Here is a pictures of before my house and garden looked like 12 years ago, and now.
Now out to get a lucky bag from Morrisons.
Then for tea.
Yummy.
