Trying To Keep The Cold Out!

"A lovely thing about Christmas is that it’s compulsory, like a thunderstorm, and we all go through it together." - Garrison Keillor
Welcome to my Sunday 💓
We had a bit of a lie in...
On this day back in 2010.
We had 20 cms of snow....
I am hoping we won't have that much this Christmas!
Then it was time for Breakfast with Brew.
The thermal vest went on!
So did the kettle....
(As the Coffee Machine has now stopped working, and waiting for the new one to arrive)
Coffee Time!
Now to try to make the house warmer!
We added another thermal lining to the living room curtain...
Hoping that helps with the draughts from the window!
Changed our bedroom curtains to the yellow curtains from the Living Room, as they are three layered curtains.
Hoping it will keep the bedroom warm now!
Light lunch time!
Out for some fresh air in the rain!
First was to check my tyre pressures.
Then in the rain we went to see my mum and dad.
Oh the surprise I had, my other two siblings haven't added a wreath of those own....
One of them might turn up on Christmas Eve with his own and hopefully won't try to nick mine!
(As everytime he comes up, he like to help himself to something I have put on our parent's grave!)
I had a conversation with my parents.
Then headed back home in the rain.
Hubby started on the tea.
I had another Faux Fur Wreath to do.
Then I added to our bedroom wall.
Tea was ready.
We watched the Best Christmas Cake and Best Christmas Jumper episodes.
Now for some highlights of Morecambe and Wise...with Andre Previn...
If you want to read the back story to it.
Read this:
Still funny after all these years...
Now to look into today's newspaper:
UK No.1 on this day in 1959:
Emile Ford and the Checkmates -
What Do You Want To Make Those Eyes at Me For?
UK No.1 on this day in 1982:
Renee & Renato - Save Your Love
US No.1 on this day in 1961:

My answers:
Breakfast and Brew time.
I got dressed.
(Thermal vest goes on)
Several layers as well.
Time to leave the house.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋
Before I went.
On goes the Winter coat, two hats and waterproof gloves.
I gets the newspaper.
Then picks up the big stick from Sexy Beast.
Now to turn on my lights.
The Christmas Lights looking nice.
Turns on my lights.
Lets go to work....🍭
There is a brief bit of rain.
Still car drivers on leaving it the last minute to brake!
Plus lots of BOINGS for those on the otherside of the road who ignore my big stick!
At least I finished in one piece!
Back home.
Coffee machine goes on.
Unloads the dishwasher and loads it back up.
Empties all the bins in the house.
Now for a much needed coffee!
Now to change the curtains in the living room to those I bought from Dunelm last week.
I added another lining to them to keep out the cold from those draughty windows.
Felt like Tarzan trying to put those curtains up!
Time for a early liquid lunch.
Yum!
Now out to do the afternoon shift.
There was no room to park in the normal car park I park in, so I parked nearby.
The Winter Hats, Winter Coats and waterproof gloves went on. I turned on my lights, and then collected my big stick from Sexy Beast.
I met up with my friends for a bit of a rabbit.
Then time was up, said goodbye.
Now let's get on with the afternoon shift.
It was going great, when the drivers on the otherside was failing to stop for my big stick!
BOING,BOING, and BOING.
One on my side done the Limbo dance and went straight under my big stick!
I was glad to finish in one piece.
Home time for me!
Time for a brew when I got back!
I finished my first Faux Fur Wreath.
On the wall it went.
Hubby came home for a sloppy wet one 💋.
Nice Meat-Free Stir Fry!
Yum!
Looked into today's newspaper.
US No.1 on this day in 1964:
Lorne Green - Ringo
We caught up with the News.
Sleep Tea Time.
Now to get under that 16 tog duvet.....🛏

Nice lie-in.
Then it's breakfast with brew.

I gives hubby a sloppy one 💋 as he is going to put a Christmas wreath on his parent's grave.
I am making room for the Christmas Decs to go up!
First I need a coffee....
The wreath looks good on the grave.
All the Nutcrackers are out.
Liquid lunch time.
Now to press play....
The Christmas Tree was up.
The tea was made and put in oven.
Hubby came back and a sloppy wet one 💋
