Celebrating With Balloons!

I believe in large families. Everyone should have at least three husbands - Zsa Zsa Gabor
Welcome to my Saturday fun 🎈
Today is my late dad's Birthday.
I pumped up the balloons before  Breakfast and Brew.
We listened to "Sounds of the 60s"
Top 3 Singles from 1969.
3: Robin Gibb - Saved by the Bell.
2: John Lennon - Give Peace A Chance
1: The Rolling Stones - Honky Tonk Women
Got dressed.
Hopefully the rain keeps off....
Off to wish my dad a Happy Birthday 🎈
Gives them the weekly update.
Then off to town to get my new pair of reading glasses.
The view from Car Park 4:
Looking down↓
Picks up my reading glasses...
I could read the smallest print!
Went for a quick coffee and nibble.
Now to visit two charity shops.
Got some nice things from both!
Brilliant film!
Now to do a good deed of dropping 4 bags of books at Coughton Court.
Sequin time!
They were glad of the books.
Back on the road to do some food shopping at Lidl's.
Nice.
The 10% helped off the bill.
Back home to unpack the shopping.
Light lunch.
Quick look into today's newspaper.
Out came the red cooking pot.
Fills it up with some lovely things and in it goes into the oven.
My older son comes round and does a big catch up before I dished it up.
We was going to watch...
We changed our minds and decided to watch another great film instead...
I dropped older son back home afterwards.
The garden lights were looking good.
I had my sleep tea.
Off to a warm bed with even warmer hands!

That Bird Is Singing Again...

Sunday has arrived...
So has the rain...
&
My dad's Birthday....
I had a hour lie-in...
Had a cup of tea in bed :)
 Followed by breakfast.
My dad had his Birthday Request read out on our local Radio Station \o/
Once all up.
Time for a little ride in the Sexy Beast.

 Checked tyres pressures.
Popped into see my dad and wish him a Happy Birthday.
He enjoyed his cards and presents.
Back home to pick some Blackberries...
I blindbaked the pastry...
While the blackberries were in the pan, I added some cherries we got off our tree, and
off our apple tree.
While it was baking in the oven.
I came across a article about one of my favourite actors..
The pie is ready ...
Now to try a bit....
