Breaking Them In!

Brass bands are all well in their place - outdoors and several miles away - Thomas Beecham
It's so nice to be on the Wobbly Work Wheel🎑
Nice hug with brew.
Breakfast.
I gets up one son for school.
What to wear today???
Something cool.....
I gives out wet sloppy πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹
Now to leave...
&
Big big sunglasses..

Now to break in my new trainers
&
New rim on my lollypop stick!
On goes the summer coat as well.
Tree Pic.
Now for the fun to start...🎈
I only started when someone in a black car came speeding down the road at the same time I had my Lollipop stick out in front of me trying to cross some children over.
He looked at me, I looked back...
Two choices...
Stop or windscreen will get a crack in it!
He stopped \o/
No sports cars this morning.
At least the sun was out, and getting the rays!
Finished in one piece!
Back home.
Coffee time!
The youngest son finally got up!
Now to see a man about some new carpet!
He didn't have enough red carpet for the landing :(
The purple was a tad expensive.
I told him I don't do grey carpet....
The red stripes looked nice....
Number 1 in Redditch! For a bit more I could get the stairs done as well.
(I have had the stairs carpet at 2 other properties I lived in since 1996!)
All bought and paid for...
Nice carpet in the house ready for the weekend!
Nipped into Sainsburys for some salad.
Last stop was the garden centre.
Picked out some house plants.
Now for coffee...
Son had a nice doughnut...
After drinking and eating, we went to look about the store.
£799
I found some houseplants half price.
I picked up a Peace Lily, and 2 Mother in laws tongue plants at half price.
When I got to the till, I had a bit of ado with the sales assistant who tried to charge me for the plastic saucer the Peace Lily was sitting in.
I told her to keep it and take it off the bill.
It came with plant, she wouldn't have it.
So I got the plant and not the saucer!
Plants put on the back seat of Sexy Beast.
When I got home, I repotted the plants.
Just had enough compost!
Even got a Venus Fly Trap!
Light lunch.
Now back out into the sunshine..
The summer coat goes on.
It's not supposed to rain until later..
We will see...
Some car drivers are ignoring the new rim on my lollipop stick and driving under it!
One day it will go BOING BOING on their roof as they drive past!
Finished in one piece..
Had a good yak with my friend for a good 40 minutes!
I said goodbye and hopefully see him soon.
Back home.
I ate a 50p meal I bought from Co-op yesterday..↓
I will be glad of the Stir Fry tomorrow night!
Now to write yesterday's blog post...
Hubby arrived from seeing his dad.
Now to catch up with today's newspaper...

Now time to get off the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎑

Into a warm bed...

It wasn't that warm.
I wore a jacket under my Summer Coat.
Tree Pic.
Let the fun start 🎈
No sign of the lambo :(
Still got the cars to stop.
Some on the otherside of the road, doesn't seem think that Stop applies to them.
Finished in one piece.
Popped into the Paper Shop to get the newspaper and magazine for next door neighbour.
The woman behind the counter is back.
She had a holiday in Portugal and had to isolate when she got back.....
Back home.
Bunting is coming down tomorrow :(
I sorted some plants out for the woman who gave me some free plants last week.
Much needed coffee.
One slice of cake has been eaten so far...
Light lunch time.
Then off for the afternoon lollipop.
Drops off plants before I turn on lights.
Now for the fun to start 🎈
Two sets of parents don't cross with me, but further up the road into moving traffic they went!
There is too much jay-walking into traffic.
Someone got half across the road, until I got him over safely the other half!
Some cars were stopping in the Keep Clear space, so I had to walk around the cars to cross the kids over the road!
I'm glad I finished in one piece!
Back home.
Wrote yesterday's blog post, while keeping a eye on the tea....
Gave hubby a sloppy wet πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹ when he came home from work.
Tea is served!
Roast Pork Dinner!
Afterwards I watered all the plants front and back.
Hot shower followed....
More hot chocolate...
Now to enjoy a warm Hump 🐫 in a warm bed!

Plants & Pants!

I'm no angel, but I've spread my wings a bit - Mae West
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Hubby's back is giving him problems...
A little rub helped!
Extra warm hug and brew helped.
Breakfast.
Both kids were at home today.
I still opened their bedroom windows.
Dressed.
Gave out sloppy wet πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹
On goes those big big sunglasses.
On goes the Summer Coat.
Let the fun start....
No sighting of the Lambo today.
Nice view of Rolls Royce with the gold lady on top of the Bonnet instead...
Blue skies and it was getting warm!
Finished in one piece.
Now to take a little ride in Sexy Beast.
I got some things for the Birthday Cake I am making for my youngest son's Birthday next week and some nice reduced items!
Still have to prove my age!
Now for some cold coffee..
The temperature is going up when I got home.
Hubby's new pants arrived and more plants for me was delivered!
Before I put the shopping away.
I cleaned out the fridge, and sorted out all the food in there!
Looking a lot better now!
Puts all the food away.
Feeds the birds.
Waters the plants.
Repots the plants that came earlier.
I received my P45 from my old Cleaner job.
Time for lunch!
I find out my new trainers I bought last year, that I can actually fit into now!
Now out to do the afternoon shift.
Once I turned on my lights, I sat on the bench in the park in the shade. One parent didn't like it and had to sit on the bench further up.
Now for the fun to start!
One learner driver nearly ended up with a cracked windscreen, as my lollypop stick was in the middle of the road. It looked the Driving Instructor slammed on the brakes!
Then another car failed to stop on that side, and my stick nearly went BONG BONG on his car roof when he went past!
One Elderly gentleman had to slam his brakes on as my lollypop stick was in way of going further. I could hear the gums banging when I crossed over the road, and when I returned back to the pavement. I put my hand up to say thank you for stopping....
What a afternoon!
Back home for a suck on a lolly!
My neighbour's son had some spare flowers left over at work.
(Good job I have 3 bags of compost
&
some pots!)
Tea is served.
Now to repot as many plants as I can before it gets dark!
I ran out of compost and pots!!
I still had plants left and some plants coming in the post tomorrow!
Back out tomorrow to get more pots and compost!
The old sofa was put out for collection.
By 9.45pm I had finished watering the plants I had planted...
I was so tired.....
Gave hubby a back rub to help with the pain......
Let's hope the sunshine carries on tomorrow....
