Clapping Together!

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular - Kathleen Norris
Welcome to another sunny day in Blackpool 😎
We woke up early for a much needed brew↓
We went down for Breakfast.
Came back up to fetch the trolley....
Now to catch a tram to Fleetwood...
We caught the tram to Fleetwood.
The market was still open :)
Got two large bag of sweets for the kids.
Now to walk down Fleetwood High Street.
There was a tram not going anywhere...
The way the car had parked, the tram couldn't get past the back end of the car.
We all stood watching the tram driver phoning the depot and the police. Suddenly a man appeared at the car.
I started giving him a loud clap and everyone else joined in. The old man ignored the tram driver, and reversed and drove off!
We then carried on walking....
We had to buy another trolley!
We had a ice cream and watched trams come and go...
Nice name for a shop↓
Waited for the tram to arrive...
We caught the tram to Cleveleys.
Nice lloyd Loom in one Charity Shop↓
Coffee and nibble time...
We popped into Aldi to get our tea for next couple of nights.
The
red light is flashing again!
Back on the tram, back to the B&B.
Unpacked all our bargains.
Looked in the newspaper before we went down for tea.
We had our tea.
Now to walk it off...
Back to the B&B, to enjoy the lovely bed!

Behind The Back Door!

I kept a pet goat that followed me like an unpaid bill - Myrtle Reed.
Welcome to my tidy up Tuesday 💁
I came downstairs at 5am,
As it was too warm to sleep upstairs.
Hubby woke me up to join him upstairs for breakfast.
We did the Heardles.
Heardle 60s:
My son's answers were:
Dressed.
Now out for a long ride....
First stop was B&Q↓
Got some bits.
Then off to visit the big Dunelm↓
I have more than enough duvet covers⇊
It was so warm,
Time for a cold drink!
Now to visit the house.
The clock fell off and developed a crack in the top.
Swapped it around with a picture.
See how long it stops up now.
The garden still needs sorting out.
We have done the inside of the house!
Nice photo of hubby's late parents.
We nipped out to get lunch,
As there is no microwave in the kitchen to heat any food up!
I get some more defusers for the house to make it smell nice.
Hubby got some free boxes to box up some books to give to the Droitwich Lions.
Back to the house.
I tried to make the kitchen look a bit better.
I had the back door open to help dry the kitchen floor as I had mopped it when I heard the neighbours say:
"Dave, they 're in!"
After she noticed the back door open, and two chairs I had left by the back door, moved out of the way!
Found the missing Bank  Statement from 2014.
Blunts Shoes - £34
£50 & other amounts  being transferred out  every two weeks to people.
He was well into  his overdraft -£152 of £500.
The next time we are sorting more of the house out is the final week of August.
Hopefully it will be  when the house can go on the market.
Waves at the outside camera that is just above next door's living room window.
Off we go back home.
Nice easy tea.
It's still warm.
We sit outside to watch the sun go down.
Didn't get today's newspaper.
But here are the No.1's of previous years.
UK No.1 on this day in 1986:

UK No.1 on this day in 2003:

US No.1 on this day in 1975:

US No.1 on this day in 1980:

Trying To Knock The L Off!

Teamwork: a chance to blame someone else - Ambrose Bierce
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Sun is shining again 😎
It's Heardle time again.
Heardle 60's:
My son's guesses:
Breakfast and Brew is next...↓
Dressed.
Now out into the sunshine.
Big big sunglasses goes on
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one.
I gets my newspaper.
Then on goes my summer coat.
I put on my lights.
Now let's go to work!
I had to give out a few BOINGs as the cars were just straight under my big stick if I wasn't there!
One car driver didn't stop, but he put up his hand as he went past me!
Two cars had to do emergency stops on the otherside!
Besides that, I finished in one piece.
Off to see my mum and dad.
The two gold digging brothers hadn't put nothing on the grave for Father's Day.
(No surprise there!)
Back home.
I puts on the coffee maker.
Now to enjoy the sunshine in the garden!
Stopped out there in the shade up until light lunch...
Now out for part 2...
Puts on my summer coat.
Turns on my lights.
Gets the ice lolly...
Collects my big stick.
Sits in the park.
Only one friend turned up.
We sat on the park bench for a little rabbit...
Time to do the job.
I said see ya later to my friend.
Now for the fun to be had!
One red car was speeding up the High Street.
I had my big stick out in front of me.
He braked at the very last minute.
Soon after a Driving Instructor in a white car drove straight under my stick.
If my big stick was closer, it would have knocked his L plate off his roof of his car!
It was getting well warm...
Few more BOINGs given out!
Finished in one piece.
Home time.
In need of a lolly again.
Hubby came home early after having a Blood Test.
We used up the pork chops.
That was tea sorted!
Yum.
Quick look in today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 2002:
Elvis Presley vs JXL - A Little Less Conversation
USA No.1 on this day in 1968:
Herb Alpert - This Guy's In Love With You.
USA No.1 on this day in 1985:
Bryan Adams - Heaven.
It was nice to sit out in the front garden.
All quiet and calm.
Time for some sleep tea...
Let's hope there will no fun with letter L tomorrow!
