One Seal Away

The question is not what you look at, but what you see - Henry David Thoreau
Welcome to my Thursday.
I enjoyed a cup of tea in bed..↓
I gave my hubby a sloppy 💋 before he left the house.
I got up soon after,
As the Plumber was coming to check the 13 year old boiler.
The washing machine went on..
Followed by coffee and vitamin C↓
 The Plumber came early.
Do you want the bad news?"He asked
I replied,"It can't be as bad as me not winning the Lottery last night!"
One seal had perished on the boiler,
The remaining seal could go and fumes could leak from the boiler.
So he disconnected the boiler from the gas.
They have to source a new part for the boiler.
Until then, we have no hot water.
I was hoping for new boiler...
No chance...
The boiler is slowly being rebuilt with new parts!
Hopefully the part will come soon...
One my kids went to fetch the newspaper for me..
I went outside to get some fresh air...
The washing machine went back on.
Now to put a third coat of paint onto our bedroom door..↓
I left to that dry.
Now to paint the toilet door↓
I left it to dry.
Lunchtime↓

I got some nice stuff to use at work↓
 I went to work,
Leaving two washing machine loads to dry on the line.
While I looked out of the window..
I saw the rain come down....
(Great!)
(I had left my coat at home)
I had lovely wet t-shirt when I got home.
Oh dear, I can't have a hot shower....
I have got no hot water!
We got the washing off the line,
They will have to go back in the washing machine tomorrow! :( :(
 While having chicken with rice.
I watched more:
While hubby and kids went to do my dad's shopping.
I went to work with some great music..↓
 Gets back before hubby↓
We watched more Louis.

A Different Brain

Louis Theroux

Louis takes a look at the issues that some of the estimated one million people in the UK living with the long-term effects of a brain injury have to deal with.

Louis spends time with staff and service users at the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust, one of the UK's largest providers of neuro-behavioural rehabilitation, in an effort to understand how individuals and their families come to terms with this life-changing condition.

Often called a 'hidden disability' because those affected can show little physical signs of change, acquired brain injury results in enormous cognitive, behavioural and personality challenges. Those affected are left to reconstruct who they are - from relearning the basics of walking, talking and eating to redeveloping complex personality and behavioural traits, often in the shadow of who they once were. Family members are often caught between grieving for the loved one they have lost and learning to love the person they are now.
It was sad and thought provoking.
Off to bed....
As I will have loads of Friday Feeling 🎈 to burn off tomorrow!

Hot & Sweaty Hump

Welcome to my Hot & Sweaty Hump of the Week...
Nice cup of tea to wake up with.
Kissed all the males of the family before they all went off to school and work...💋💋💋
I did head or tails with Kenny & Kane.
Kane won!
Now to make 6 sponges

With the heat from the sun and the heat from the oven...
I was getting sweaty!!!

 Lunch ↑↑
Went down to Morrisons for more supplies!
Singing along in the heat...
 More using of lemons↓

In the end I made 9 sponges.
My son to be 13 says,
"Don't go too much trouble mum for my cake!"
"Too late!" I replied.....
I had to sit outside in the front garden to sit down to cool down!

I was tempted to have a water fight....
However didn't fancy showing off ANY white bits due to my T-shirt getting wet!

Entering The Wet T-Shirt Competition

Welcome to my Bank Holiday Monday
We are saying goodbye to our Fridge Freezer
(It's given up after 13 years 😢)
Once it was put outside, we found some old party invites from 2010 on the floor.
(They must have been short on numbers to invite us! 😎😎)
We went for a ride out in "Sexy Beast"
Then the rain came down...
We popped into Morrisons for a drink & nibble
I didn't count on appearing in the wet t-shirt competition getting back to my "Sexy Beast"
Hopefully the bikini 👙 might get put back on this week...🌞

Wet T-Shirt Time!

Welcome to my Feel Good Friday...
The temperatures are dropping a bit...
Time to wear a jumper...
The first shift of Job 1 was manic...
Cars, kids, undertaking, banging of the gums and horns being pressed.
By 9am....the road was quiet....
Sunshine all day...
While finishing Job 3, the heavens opened, who forgot their coat?
A quick dash home, I looked like I was taking part in a Wet T-shirt Competition....
The weekend is nearly here...
Time to use my warm hands on hubby instead of Henry the Hoover....
