Need To Rescue That Chocolate Cake!

My  last credit card bill was so big, before I opened it I actually heard a drum roll - Rita Rudner
Welcome to my warm Thursday 👙
Another hot day ahead.
Thinking caps time.....
Heardle time.
Heardle 60s:
My son's answers:
Breakfast with Brew time↓
Dressed.
Outside to water the garden.
I give hubby a big sloppy wet one 😘 before he leaves.
I sit and enjoy a coffee afterwards.
Grabs my white hat, now time for little ride in Sexy Beast.
First stop was B&M Bargains to see if they sell a Garden Bracket to put a hanging basket on.
I chattered with the sales assistant outside in the garden section. I was already starting to sweat. They had sold out of them.
I said "Thanks."
I went into Sainsburys to collect my Argos order.
I picked up a cold bottle of water as I was getting well warm!
Then off to park car ready for a great coffee morning.
Parks in the Hall car park.
I nips into the Paper Shop and says hi to everyone. Gets my newspaper and my neighbour's magazine.
Went into the Charity shop and got some right bargains. One of my friends who I have a chat with in the afternoon, when I am doing my Lollipop job turned up.
We had a good rabbit going back up to the Coffee Morning.
I got my blue milk out of the boot and we went inside.
Lots of people to chat to, coffee and cake.
I got the males of the family a cup cake each.
(One male had already ate his before I could take a pic of it!)
I had a go on the raffle.
Second prize Hamper included Fray Bentos Pie
"Wouldn't mind having that hamper,"I laughed.
"Not the first prize of alcohol?" I was asked.
"No I will be happy with Fray Bentos!" I laughed.
Time for coffee and cake.
Nice chat with my friend for an hour before we had another drink and piece of cake.
No one was eating the Chocolate cake.
I gave it 20 mins, and if no one had it, I was going to buy it for us.
After half an hour, I just had to rescue it!
On they way out I got chatting to someone whose son I was chatting to about his signed Dooleys album he was selling to someone else in the two weeks before I broke up for the summer holidays.
It was the first she knew of him selling any of his vinyl off.
I said,"Husband bought a signed album and 12 inch record signed by the whole band of Ebay for my Christmas presents."
"I could have made a offer for his signed album that he would have snapped my hand off!"
The Dooleys I hear you ask↓
I told her, "Not to worry, I will catch up with her son when I come back to work in September....."
It is my friend's 71st Birthday at the end of the month, I will come and see him with his card and his Birthday present.
Last year, I had to tie his 7 and 0 Balloons to his door handle as he was out.
Back home I went.
Unpacked all my bargains.
Late lunch.
As it starts to get warm, I develop a headache.
20 minutes of a power nap and it has gone.
Time to write yesterday's blog post.
I had a phone call message,
I had won the 3rd prize in the Coffee Morning Raffle.
I phoned them back and I will pick it up tomorrow.
Just finishes in time when hubby comes home.
He has a sloppy wet one 💋
We had the Linda McCartney Mozzarella burgers for tea.
Very nice :)
Now to look into today's newspapers.
UK No.1 on this day in 1960:
Cliff Richard and The Shadows - Please Don't Tease
US No.1 on this day in 1962:
Neil Sedaka - Breaking Up Is Hard To Do
US No.1 on this day in 1984:
Ray Parker Jr - Ghostbusters.
We sat in the garden watching the sun go down.
Now to bake a 50th Birthday Cake for our friend Joe.
Out comes Kenny for a quick play!
While that went into the oven.
Time to wrap the presents, write in the card and blow the balloons up!
Sleep Tea time.
Finished the cake at 11.30pm.
In the fridge it went.
Goes upstairs to bed.
Two things stopped me sleeping up there.
The heat and the snoring...
Back on the sofa for me!
At least the Friday Feeling is back tomorrow 🎈
