The Lurgy!

Last Halloween I ran out of candy and had to give the kids nicotine gum - David Letterman.
Happy Halloween everyone!🎃
Back on the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
5 years ago I had my accident, which involved a two week stay in hospital and having a major op.
Then I had 8 months off work, and had to learn to walk again!
Heardle Time!
Heardle 60s:
My answers:
Breakfast and Brew time.
Dressed.
(After all that lovely warm weather in Blackpool last week, the thermal vest goes on!)
Now back on the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one 😘
On the way to work, the major road I use is closed, had to go a longer and busier way to work. Finally get to work!!!!
Summer coat and summer hat goes on.
Gets the newspaper.
Goes and turns on my lights.
Let's get it on...🍭
I got asked,"Where I was at the end of last term.
I had to explain that it wasn't Covid I had,
but the dreaded Lurgy!
One parent commented:
"I looked on Studley Matters FB page to see why you wasn't here!"
I hoped he liked my picture of my minions on my profile!
One BMW nearly had his windscreen put on driving mms about from my big stick.
Gave out 3 BOINGs for good measure!
One of my friends who I have a rabbit with in the afternoon, came over for a quick catch up.
At least I finished in one piece.
Back home.
On goes the coffee machine.
Then I sweep up the leaves and old pears off the path!
Tidy up around the apple tree.
Goes back in and the Heating Engineer was trying to phone me to check on the new boiler we had fitted last month.
I gave him directions where I am.
He arrived and went to check on the boiler and where the gas meter was.
After ten minutes, he was done.
Now for some coffee!
The washing machine went on 3 times.
Emptied all the bins in the house.
Recycling was emptied as well.
Put more clothes away from our holiday.
Early lunch is needed!
Now for part two.
I had to go the way I went this morning.
It was well busy and didn't help by having traffic lights at the bottom of the road I do my job!
There were two spaces left in the car park when I finally got there!
I put on my Summer Coat and hat.
Turned on my lights.
While I was sitting in Sexy Beast, I saw one of my friends checking his tyre pressures in the other car park. He came over for a chin wag, then we saw my other friend who was standing with her mum.
We both went over for a chin wag.
Then we all went over to carry on with the rabbit in the square. Those dark clouds were slowly moving in.
I said goodbye to my friends.
Now to start the afternoon shift.
Oh dear, it's BOING time.
An Audi nearly had his windscreen hit by my big stick, only mms away form hiting it!
The traffic was building up from the traffic lights at the bottom of the road.
As soon as I finished, the rain started.
I went a different way, went to the Co-op for bits we needed for tonight.
I got some reduced food as well.
Back home in the pouring rain.
The road I used this morning, the queues stretched around two roundabouts.I was glad I was going out of the village and not going in!
Back home!
Unloads shopping.
Now for a much needed cup of tea!
Sorting more washing out.
Early meat-free tea time.
Yum!
I looked into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1963:
Gerry and the Pacemakers - You'll Never Walk Alone
US No.1 on this day in 1964:
The Supremes - Baby Love.
The rain was really coming down now.
Now to watch a film we bought in Blackpool.
Really good film :)
Sleep Tea Time.
Now off to enjoy that warm 16 tog duvet.🛏
