Trying To Be Took Out!

It's sad to grow old, but nice to ripen - Brigitte Bardot
Welcome to my Coffee Themed Thursday 👍
Up early to do the Heardles.
Heardle 60s.
My results:
Breakfast and Brew time.
Thermal vest went on.
Now to go to leave the house....
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋
Goes around the long way again.
Gets to work...🍭
On goes the winter coat, winter hats and gloves.
Walks down the road to turn on my first set of lights. Gets the newspaper.
Swaps the newspaper for my big stick.
Now to turn on my other set of lights.
Walking down to my spot, there were queues forming.
Nice bit of parking on Double Yellow lines.
Where he went to get his breakfast, does have a car park he could have used!
So I had fun with the car drivers coming up the road struggled to see my big stick!
It didn't help while I was waiting to cross people over, a black Audi mounted the pavement, inches away from me feet, to get her daughter out of the car so I could cross her over!
"Is your mum trying to take me?" I asked the daughter when her mum drove off the pavement!
Still had a few BOINGs to give out!
Finished in one piece.
Back home for a quick coffee.
Time for a coffee and chat session.
I had a go on the raffle.
Bought the chocolate cake, small cake and coffee.
The Dates for more coffee mornings.
One friend left early. Another friend arrived just as I was leaving. We had a good chat outside with the two other friends we chat to in the afternoon.
Back home.
Liquid lunch time.
Now to do the afternoon shift.
(I didn't get the winning phone about the raffle)
Just parks up and see a relation of mine with a Birthday present walking to the Bakery for a party.
I gets my Winter coat, hat and gloves on.
I asked someone who had a go on the raffle: "If they had won anything?"
"No, have you?" they asked.
"Nope,"I replied.
"You normally win something."
"Must have broke a mirror," I said.
Walks up to turn on my lights.
Just as I walking down to turn my other lights.
My friend appeared with his daughter.
I gave him a big hug as he was being took into the Bakery/Coffee shop for a surprise 80th Birthday Party.
I wished him a Happy 80th Birthday.
I heard the cheers when he went upstairs for his surprise party, and a 80th Birthday Balloon was on the Handrail.
Turns my lights on, walks back up, my friend appeared and we went into the nearby corner shop.
There were free ale being given away.
Over 18's only and two per person.
Be rude not to have two!
Collects my big stick, and the other friend arrives for a rabbit in the square.
Time to say goodbye.
Low lying sun again to deal with.
Three cars one after another just straight under my big stick!
The third drive put her hand up as she drove under it!
One lorry driver on the otherside of the road couldn't believe what he saw.
BOING,BOING for the traffic on the otherside that wasn't stopping either!
I was glad to finish in one piece.
Home time.
Cup of brew needed...
Then I got on with doing the tea.
Hubby came home and had a sloppy wet one 💋
Tea is served.
